Bigaudiofanat-
Would appreciate some guidance here...the car is not 350/370z... Just hooked up backup camera on DNX6140...black/red on the camera to black/red on the car...red on the camera to red on the car...where do I connect purple/white wire from HU (tagged as reverse switch)? black/red again? I noticed that you connected it to orange in Z...not sure what circuit that is. TIA |
Yes in the trunk on the left hand side there is a big plastic tube with wires in it. Look in there for a orange wire splice to insulation off that and wrap your purple wire around that. Than wrap it with electrical tape. You should be good to go. Also that red wire that is built in on the yellow wire do not worry about connecting that one. I have no idea what it is for and why it is there is beyond me. The red wire you hook up your power to should be switched not constant.

Thanks for the quick response.
Is it orange wire in all cars? Remember the car is not 350/370z |

I am not sure off the top of my head have not done one in that car. Will have to get back to you. Sorry for that. I am looking around for it as you read this.

Thank you-
Fyi...purple/white is not connected anywhere now- on DNX6140, if I press and hold Nav, camera comes on, and when I shift to reverse, the picture goes away. |
Where do you have your green wire connected? Is it connected to ground? If not ground that green wire.

So I did a reinstall on a system. Had a lot to do Enjoy!
