New 370z owner from Philadelphia. I'm coming from a history of Hondas (Prelude, S2000) and am very satisfied with my black 2010 base 6sp.

Glad to join the community!

The typhoons are definitely a nice add on. I'm definitely happy with them. I got a killer deal on them so that's why I chose the K& N's. Grant and the boulevard is right around the corner. If I see you around I'll be sure to say hey!

searstrv 01-11-2012 08:59 AM

hey coolguyface, installed my K+n intakes yesterday, do you think you noticed anything different, I see, feel or hear no difference

mrcoolguyface 01-11-2012 09:11 AM

Definitely... You could absolutely hear the difference under heavy acceleration, and light acceleration with moderate load. Should hear the air sucking in. Also made the engine itself wake up a bit, changed the note of the engine at acceleration. I didn't really feel anything at all. But I didn't expect to.

hmm now you have me wondering if I didnt mess something up because i dont even hear any difference I installed on my silverado and it sounded like I bought a exhaust system on it

The system was pretty straight forward to install. Not sure you could mess up, unless you didnt read, and did it with your eyes closed. You arent going to hear anything if you aren't in gear. It's on hard accel that you will hear anything when you are actually moving, but it's absolutely noticeable.

Vertigo 01-12-2012 04:28 PM

Hey coolguy, did you install the K&Ns yourself?
I'm thinking about getting these soon.

mrcoolguyface 01-12-2012 04:33 PM

I did. Quick, easy straight forward install. Just take your time, and read the directions, and you will be fine!

I haven't shopped around for them lately but Amazon has them right now for $299

http://www.amazon.com/69-7078TS-Typh...6407658&sr=1-1

Vertigo 01-12-2012 04:41 PM

$299.00 sounds like a good deal to me. Thanks for the link!

mrcoolguyface 01-12-2012 04:44 PM

NP! Nothing says thanks better than a little reppy!

Vertigo 01-12-2012 05:06 PM

Gotcha covered!

searstrv 01-14-2012 11:14 AM

I put a link on here about a week ago I got for $267 free shipping and $20 gift card,
streetsideauto.com
yes it is a fairly easy install need like 5 tools and about 1-2 hrs I had no problems

Vertigo 01-16-2012 11:29 AM

Awesome find, sears. Nice price!

mtaxelson 01-25-2012 10:16 AM

Can anyone recommend a detailer in the philly/S Jersey area. Im talking full clay bar/polish/wax. I have alot of swirleys and imperfections that i would like to be fixed.
