Clear Bra in Central/Shore NJ

Anyone know of a good installer? I am concerned with a balance of price and quality. I have one guy in my area that will do just the bumper for $600... I was hoping to get the bumper and possibly the hood for around that.

Can't help you with an installer in your area but for around 700 you should get the full standard kit which includes full front bumper, partial hood, partial front fenders and lights. Good luck.

That's pretty much what I was thinking hence why I am searching for another shop.

Shade of Gray isn't really close to you (they are just across the border in PA), but they are the only solid shop I know in the tri-state area that I'd trust with that sort of thing.

if you wanted to come to long island. Savage autosports in medford, on route 112, very good.

Try the guy in this thread (Reno). He did my car and several others, but I'm not sure if he still does this since ventureshield was bought by 3m. Might be worth a try though.

Thanks guys... I'll try Reno... that is pretty close to where I work in Monmouth County... any other locals would be much appreciated just incase he doesn't do it any longer.

Anyone use | ClearBraNJ.com | The Source For All Of Your Clear Bra Needs | Red Bank, NJ | ?
They are also in Monmouth county and I found them through 3M's site.

Reno still does it and has some pretty good prices IMO...

High 5's for bumper, mirros, partial fender and hood... low 6s for a bit more hood (and possibly fender) and 1k for full hood and fender (would be nice to not have the lines). I think I am going with the standard one.

MattP725 08-14-2011 07:55 PM

Oh and lights with all kits.

Roadster4Us 08-14-2011 08:42 PM

Definitely consider full hood and full fenders. It eliminates the lines and you can't even tell you have the clear bra.

I really want it... just not sure if it is honestly worth the $400 extra... maybe I'll put it off a bit, unless someone wants to go in with me and maybe I can work out a special deal ;0)

A full wrap is a good idea on the nose of the car. On my other car (daily driver) I got a few rock chips far up on the hood where a standard bra wouldn't reach, as well as a nick ot two further up on the fenders. That's exactly why I had Reno do the full hood. Is it worth the extra $400? That depends. I'm really picky about nicks and dents, so I wanted no regrets. If you DD the car then I would say yes.

His price for the full nose was very fair at 1k, so I opted to do the whole thing. Everyone else in NJ wanted to charge nearly twice as much for the same job using the same film (Ventureshield).

Whatever you decide, good luck! The best part about having this done is the peace of mind you'll have afterwards.
