Sunday Mornings Captree / Oak Beach Meet & Cruise
 

After the baller bakerz meet last weekend i figured we could try a change of pace.

Every Sunday Morning there is a car meet at Oak Beach off Ocean Parkway. This is a pretty sweet meet, lambos, ferraris and porsche gt2's are typical occurances here.

The meet usually starts around 7 or 8am, and ppl start leaving between 10 & 11.

Regardless, the road leading to it is pretty fun to drive on, nice views, ton of nice cars around, and NO TRAFFIC. woo. As long as its nice out, there should be a ton of cars. We could also do lunch or something after.

For those looking to GPS to gauge distance, you can GPS:

1 Ocean Pkwy, Wantagh, NY

however this will take u to "the point", and its about 4 miles from here.

Either way, i think we should all meet up prior. The Auto Zone Parking Lot is on the way for most people, and should be easy enough to find.

This goes on every sunday all summer so could be a weekly thing. Its all early enough to not interfere with most peoples sundays.

hah - yea, i wish it started later, but seeing some of these cars is well worth it.

last week i showed up around 10:30 and only about 10 cars were left.

I've wanted to go to this meet for a while; could be down for this (am supposedta be in the east Hamptons this weekend, but will probably blow it off).

haha the bird is well. I havent really driven the car since that sunday however.


yea its pretty cool, just wish it wasnt so early.

Its been a few years since I made it out to one of these meets. lol I think one of the last times I went was when I did the 205mph sprint in a buddies TT Ford GT before he sold it. Im due to go again soon.

I roll there with a few buddies of mine sometimes.. we leave at 6am from Port Jeff and get there at about 6:10 ... little intense for me going 150 down sunrise.. lol

We normally go with a super clean supra, a few vipers, Z06, older greenwood vette, a silver nismo , a few mustangs , and a me when we go... The lot is always FILLED with really beautiful cars, it is just really early...

the sunday morning group i've gone with once before is ER. they meet up at a location and then cruise to captree. cruising is a buck twenty for these 200+mph cars. i raced a rally evo and thank god i hit the brakes fast enough cause this state trooper was spitting dirt rolling off the grass to pull over the evo

Well, now that my car is finally inspected I would LOVE to take my roadster BUT I have no front plate and they're ruthless with issuing those type of tickets on non exotics lol

yea, last week i went with nigel, and they were ticketing EVERYONE. ZR1 got a no front plate ticket.

I'll plan on being there.

Its very rare that I have a Sunday off and this upcoming Sunday I will be off so I'm taking advantage of it and going to this meet. Anyone brave enough to wake up and come with?

^ if u decide to play with them during the cruise, be ready to burn threw 1/3 of ur tank by the time u get home haha. It was fun though.
