fixing road rash

anyone know any good places to get raod rash fixed? my spot around my house wants 700 for all for wheels anyone know a place that can do it kinda cheaper?

my friend told me filling up the curb damage with Bondo and painting is a quick/cheap solution. I will be trying this when I paint my rims.

$700??? holy crap!

I just had all 4 of my stock 19" rays powdercoated gloss black for $580 - that's including tires mounted & balanced and put back in the car. They did a great job!

USA Wheels in Fairfield, NJ. They get CRAZY busy though, so call ahead.

I also heard good things about Liquid Powdercoating in PA.

And who worked on your rims?
Anyone in particular I should talk to first?:tiphat:

You could try Al's Hubcaps in Mineola; I went there to get my wheels powdercoated, and they also fixed some minor issues with the wheels, too.

lies, those wheels were flawless.

but yeah, I have my nismo wheel at Al's right now getting fixed for major curb rash from a drift fail on my behalf. Picking it up today. $135 to fix the rash and repowdercoat the wheel matte black.

hehe lol, no they held up well, it was just some really deep rash on 75% of the outer edge. no bends, no cracks, no other damage... forged wheels ftw.

but considering it costs $120 a wheel just for a simple powdercoat, 135 for fixing a rash and powdercoat + balance, isnt so bad

Flawless... that's what that post-op tranny hooker told me last week. Thankfully I didn't believe Jeff, and just went home alone.

+ 1 for al's hubcaps in Mineola... re did all my Volks , came out awesome...

guys is stuck in 1984 with his dress code, but he is anal with his quality or work and will do right by you... great tire prices as well... he beat any price I saw by 30 dollars for my two rear 305's

also 120-150 is the going rate to repair a wheel
