NYC Metro Area Upstate cruise this weekend - Saturday 4/3
 

Alright folks...looks like Saturday will be the day for this drive. I'm pretty sure most people have things to do with family on Sunday so Saturday would be the most flexible (as far as time is concerned) for most of us anyway.

As mentioned before this drive will run through the Bear Mountain area which has some pretty nice roads and views. With perfect weather in the forecast for Saturday, this run will be all the more worthwhile. I have also picked out a Friday's toward the end of the run so we can relax and grab some grub before heading home. This drive will take about 4hrs + midway stretch at BM Overlook (15-30mins) + lunch at the end. The drive is long enough to enjoy some nice roads without feeling like it was over too soon at the end AND short enough to be able to have the rest of the afternoon to yourselves.

I figured this would be a good opportunity to not only put some much needed miles on the Z but to meet some faces behind the screen names. The actual route details will be discussed/handed out Saturday morning. The meet details for Saturday morning are listed below;

TIME: 7:30AM ... roll out by 8:00AM

Oh you've got a 40th Anniversary model? I'd come out to check it out. Saturday early morning or afternoon sounds good, though I have some family stuff in the late morning that might spill over into the early/mid-afternoon.

Unfortunately Easter weekend just wont fly, love my Z but family first. Though I am driving down to Princeton Saturday to pick up my little sister and bring her home, Im lookin forward to it with the weather and I too need to work on my break-in miles (only at 300+)

How you getting to Princeton? I live in the area

This sounds awesome and I would definitely be up for this in the future, but this weekend is no good for me =(

This weekend (Easter) is tough, esp judging from the lack of responses.

Sorry bro can't do a 4 hour drive; have to do family stuff at around 11ish in Brooklyn. But I'll come out for some coffee and car talk at 7am!

I knew this weekend would be kind of tough to get a large turnout, but I figured since I'm driving anyway, I would invite anyone else interested in going out.

Either way, I'll head to the meet spot tomorrow AM and if anyone shows, GREAT...if not, then I'll head out by myself and possibly venture further north to check out some more roads. :driving:
