If you guys have any specials on ester oil changes for the Z please let me know I'm approaching 3000 need to get the oil changed.

I posted in another thread where you can purchase Nissan Ester for $9.99/qt plus shipping...........fyi..................

I imagine you could buy it and bring it to any garage. Also you can purchase Fram oil filters at Wal Mart.

If you are interested we offer full Amsoil Oil Changes and services at our shop in Kenilworth, NJ. We have done some Z work and are looking to do more. We've been focused on Subarus for the past 10+ years. Check us out if interested. Welcome to AZP Installs Usually an Amsoil Oil Change with the extended life Amsoil Filter runs $75. The oil and filter are good for 25k miles on an NA car, although we suggest 10k mile changes on NA cars.

That's what Amsoil says for NA cars. The major problem today with cars isn't the oil, it's the filters. They are only good for about 3-5k miles then you need to change em. As long as you are changing the filters might as well change the oil too. The Amsoil filters are specially built to last 25k miles. While I wouldn't recommend any of our customers do 25k miles, 10k oil changes with the Amsoil full synthetic and filter on a street driven car aren't too crazy. On a car that is tracked we'd knock that down to about 3k-5k miles.

No oofense, but viscosity breakdown will occur long before 25k miles. 10k with synthetic is cool, Amsoil is pushing it with their recommendation. If tracking a car I would change it long before 3k as well. Nothing special about an Amsoil filter that Farm, Purolator or even the Wal Mart brand do not have. 25k filtration, no way man.

The Amsoil Synthetics are of the highest level (there are several different levels) the only other ones on that level are Redline and one other (The name escapes me now) and the filters are in fact of a much higher filtration capacity than those you find in the generic stores. Like I said, we don't recommend the full 25k miles that they guarantee, but we've had test done at 10k and it was as good as new according to Blackstone.

For a tracked car, I wasn't referring to 3k track miles, I meant a street car that also sees track time. We run the Amsoil in all our cars including our turbo track car and my Nissan Armada that tows my 11,500lb cigarette boat :) Good stuff in our opinion and testing.

Can't you do this in your drive way?

you can bring it to a service station with your own oil and filter and they will do it for you, or you can do what a lot of us on the forum do and thats change it yourself!

Heres a great DIY on how to do it and it shouldnt take longer than 20 min. (the DIY has a REDLINE oil link inside as well as K&N Oil filter link for our cars)

Good luck!

We have found that a lot of our customers live in condos and can't even put air in their tires at their house. So a lot of them come to us for this. Also when its cold in the winter if you don't have a garage, you don't want to be laying out in the cold doing the oil change.

It's not that bad.
Try washing your car in this weather then waxing.

We actually offer top-end detailing inside as well :)

Since we are car enthusiasts we do basically everything the home-brew types would do if they had the time/resources/space to do it themselves. Even the customer waiting area is up close to your car (and we ask for a wrench here and there too) the fridge is always full and on saturdays we order up pizza and wings usually :)
