Shops on Long Island

So, I know there are dead threads about this, but i've had a major issue with my car and need to check for some new feedback.

Backstory: car sits at my parents house, took it on trip, construction on a one-lane road caused SEL to come on. Took to nearby shop (i was 500 miles away), $600 later, fixed. Get home, alignment is all messed up, etc, etc. This was late October. My dad drives the car 2x a month to keep it moving/etc, and tells me SEL came back on. Bring to local shop my dad frequents (easy for him, he's old and had back/leg problems), and apparently the shop 500 miles away welding something that didn't really make sense, and one of my sensors is what's causing the SEL to come on.

With my mods, a 'regular' shop isn't going to fix it. R.A.D. has done 85% of my work since getting the car in 2009. I tried to get in touch with them a year ago to no avail with a smaller issue that I resolved elsewhere (but wouldn't go back to). I heard that one of their mechanics had left during this time as well (at R.A.D).

TL;DR:
-Looking for a highly reputable shop that can deal with a Z and mods to resolve problem (gut feeling is issue with the cats). If R.A.D. is still the best in the area, i'll revisit them. Long Island/Queens/Brooklyn all fine.

Thanks.

Why not just go to RAD? Just because 1 person leaves doesn't mean they have no one else. Remember they are closed Mondays, I never had a problem getting in touch with them if they don't pick up at first call back in an hour or so, sometimes they get busy.

I know what you mean. I very well may just go to them, but wasn't sure if it was similar to PM --> RAD etc. And yes I remember they're closed on Sun and Mon. Wasn't sure if things had changed since i'd last been in their shop, as after 4x calls/messages there was no return, that was all.

The decent people from PM went to RAD IMO.
