Bear Mountain Run

It has been a long time since I have done a mountain run. With a small group and early morning (No traffic/cyclists) It's a lot of fun.

I'm planning to setup a run on a weekend Sat/Sun early morning and then stop for brunch/pictures. Let's decide a date that fits the majority. Route is open for debate.

Update:

Cruise date: July 14th
Time: 7am Sharp. Please arrive before 7am for quick briefing and route
details
Meet Location: 92 Roa Hook Rd, Cortlandt NY

Please bring walkie-talkies if available. It's easier to communicate that way in case someone is lost.
We are trying to keep the group short. Means the maximum cars allowed are 10. It's the only way to have safe and fun cruise without gaining any attention.

I would be down I live 15 minutes from Bear Mountain but when I tried to do this I had little to no interest. When I had an S2000 we would get a nice group to cruise a few times a year, it actually still keeps growing every year. The 370z guys are lame... but count me in.

Glad to see some interest. If you have been doing some cruises, I would love to get some suggestions for the route.

The run will be on July 14th. We are going to meet at 92 Roa Hook Rd, Cortlandt NY. The cruise will start at 7am sharp.

There are 4 confirmed cars.
1 E92 M3s
1 M235i
1 SS 1LE 2018 (me)
1 FR-S

I'm trying to keep the count short. Maximum cars allowed are 10. This is only to keep it safe and fun.

I work next Saturday until 12 so I can't, the following day a large group of Porsche Carrera GT's will be driving through the bear mountain area hoping to spot those bad boys.

When we did it with the S2000 guys they would head up from westchester then regroup in Carmel at the Wendys then head down 301 up to bear mountain. 301 is a really fun road, then depending on which was you go you can also cruise up the goat trail. There are a lot of choices and place to stop.

With the current route, we may not have time to check out 301. But let me look at that route.

It was fun. Doing another run on August 11. Won't be posting it on forums though. Let me know if you'd like to join.

How were the roads? Full of potholes or in decent shape?

I hate beating the crap out of my car on $hitty roads.

I live in Beacon, not far from Bear Mountain the roads are pretty good up that way. 301 is overall pretty good as well. Would be cool to do a cruise to the buddhist monastery then up to perkins tower.
