Philly area meetup take 2

Trying this again! Calling all PA/Tristate area Z drivers!

Previous thread had responses and interest from:

If any or all of you would be interested in meeting up, say the afternoon of September 17th or thereabouts, lets get something together. I used this date as a starting point, but I'm open to other possibilities. Last time, OldGrayDog, his wife, and myself and my wife met up and grabbed food, had a good time hanging out and talking cars/guns/life. It'd be great to meet other enthusiasts and do the same.

Alternately there is a big Z show in NJ on the 24th, I'd be up for meeting there instead.

phljeeper 08-25-2017 08:54 AM

Maybe we need to find a track day event and get these cars where they belong? I am booked on the 17th but could be up for the Z show on the 24th.

I should be good for either day, unless things change.

What cbe did you end up picking? I just got my hands on FI today, friend parted out his Z. Saved me a long wait 😉

I went with motordyne sounds great, will be also going with art test pipes and ecutek tune excited to see how it turns out

JLarson 08-28-2017 09:24 AM

I loved the MD TDX + Art combo on my 350z. Deep and rumbling, got me a ton of compliments on my setup. From review, I heard the 370z version is a good bit louder though, and with my lengthy commute each day, I didn't have much interest in the drone that creeps in around 3k rpm. But if I was driving it even half the distance, I'd have gone MD again in a heart beat.

If I don't have to go to TX i'll be there!

Send me a PM to remind me. I'm old

JLarson 08-28-2017 11:32 AM

If you do have to go to TX, bring your swimmies. Sounds like it's pretty interesting there right now.

white37014 08-29-2017 11:27 AM

tune came out pretty good put down 311 whp and 254 on 91 non ethanol, will post dyno graph in tuning section when I have time, very impressed car pulls alot hard, smoothed it out all over, also I had it tuned at r/t tuning they are great and did an awesome job.

JLarson 08-29-2017 11:51 AM

Great results! I've used RT Tuning in the past, nice people working there. Continue posting your reactions when you have time! Interested to know how much throttle response has improved. :driving:

Mark, a lot of my answer to that depended on peoples availability. Last time, we did the meet in Valley Forge Park which was pretty awesome. My area, Media, may also be a good choice. We have several decent parks and winding back roads, as well as a ton of food choices. The decision will solidify once we decide on a date.

bigaudiofanat 08-31-2017 06:52 AM

I'm clear from TX so I'll be there.

Sorry you are missing your trip, glad you will be around for the meet. Want to say thanks in person for the help your audio instruction posts. They just saved me lots of problems!

Wont be at the meet, but thats good to know for the future, my installer when I had my system put it tuned it on the low side and I never got a chance for him to open it up, maybe in the future we can take a look at it

JLarson 09-03-2017 09:44 PM

Fast Intentions exhaust went on today! Few struggles getting the oem system off, courtesy of corrosion, but eventually got it free. New system sounds good, deep and mellow. I actually expected a lot more volume from it, but as I said before, that's coming from a full motordyne system and i have not yet gone hfc or test pipes. So far so good! How's labor day looking for you guys?

RonRizz 09-04-2017 07:19 AM

Is this meet on? I may make this, depending on the date/location..........

I can certainly look at it in the future. You aren't that far.

I'd like to hear it, just got my FI test down pipes installed this weekend with factory cat back. Looking to do the FI cat back system next month. Your's is close to what my G37 uses for part numbers.

bigaudiofanat 09-05-2017 07:30 AM

Oh and I also took my Aztek camping this labor day weekend.

You'll like it, a lot. With factory cats it's pretty tame - loud on cold start, but otherwise quiet and even without 12" or 18" resonators, it's pretty minimal noise in the cabin. I did a trek down to the Shenandoah valley yesterday with the wife, hiked Old Rag Top (pretty serious climb, which surprised me!) and at no point on the drive was the noise overly intrusive. My shifts have gotten a lot better even with the obtuse clutch in the 370, just from being able to hear how the engine responds.

JLarson 09-08-2017 07:14 AM

Show of hands err posts, who can make it if we meet up next Sunday afternoon in Media, PA? 19063 Zip code for those of you mapping it.

OldGrayDog 09-08-2017 04:51 PM

Should be fine for me.

RonRizz 09-09-2017 03:42 AM

I'd be interested

JLarson 09-12-2017 07:58 AM

Alright, that means at least 3 of us getting together. I'm good with that. 5 pm, Method Park View, Media, PA 19063 (Search for this on Googlemaps, it'll bring you to a nice parking area in Ridley Creek State Park).

Let me know if there are any issues with time or place - I'm flexible.

bigaudiofanat 09-12-2017 09:18 AM

I should be there no worries. Also ANYONE selling a CAI? Need one for my G and the 370z is the same as my g for engine bays.

JLarson 09-13-2017 08:46 AM

Looking forward to meeting some Z/G drivers! See you guys Sunday. Feel free to invite anyone else with the appropriate series of car.

RonRizz 09-17-2017 02:58 PM

Well, I was planning on showing up....ended up falling asleep on the couch. I'll make the next one, for sure......

bigaudiofanat 09-18-2017 06:00 AM

Sad I didn't make it but had a family emergency. Also had some interest in my audio setup. Sad to say that's full blows stock right now. Will have the new system in later in the year.

JLarson 09-18-2017 02:56 PM

We were sorry you couldn't make it out. OldGrayDog mentioned in particular how useful your audio posts have been.

Apalovcak 10-20-2017 11:18 PM

Sorry guys i havent been on here or i would have went hopfully next time!
