Bear mountain gatherings/cruises
 

I know its winter and we are currently in the middle of a nice blizzard here in the Hudson Valley NY area but I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in getting a nice little group of Z's to cruise up to the Bear Mountain area this coming spring/summer. Being a former S2000 owner I have been part of very large gatherings that would cruise the local roads and make our way up Bear Mountain before stopping to grab some food. They also have the weekly car show at the park during the summer on Wednesday's that's always a good time. Anyway just gauging some interest and curious how many Z owners are in the area on on the forums here.

I don't live in NY anymore, but I grew up in Highland Falls. That was a very looong time ago :-)

That sounds like something I could do. Please send PMs out once you have the details settled since I don't check this part of the forum very often. Also, Northeast VQ on facebook is a good regional gathering of Zs and Gs, though most of their events take place in Eastern MA and southern NH.

We have done a few in the past. I know a few of the locals have moved on from their Z's but I'm sure we can get together a nice group once the weather starts getting nicer. :tup:

I actually passed through bear mountain today. Roads were heavily salted but it was still fun passing through. :driving:

Cruised through the area while at USMA. Beautiful roads for a drive. Gotta bring the Z down one time. Wasn't the same feeling ripping it up in a Tahoe.

Would drive there from Queens, NYC.

I'd be up for it. I always take the "long way" home through BM after visiting my mother in OC.

Good to hear that there would be some interest, now just need the nice weather.

Well before we know it the nice weather will be here. May not be a bad idea to start putting forth tentative dates to gauge when would be best for ppl. Just a thought, you're the lead on this since you started the thread, lol. I know I can't wait for some nice weather to :driving:

It would have been perfect this weekend.

This week I'll start putting a plan together, as for the weekend I'll probably be out enjoying the Z in the nice weather we'll be having.

What day?

This sounds like a good idea, not far at all then we could cruise up the mountain afterwards. I went to the cars and coffee a few weeks back, no other Z's but my buddy had his R34 there with some others. Turn out was good, too many people for the lot honestly.

Went up to Bear Mountain yesterday for the car show and to my surprise the show itself was pretty dead but oddly enough there were three other Nismo's other then mine there but they were all the previous years. Would you guys be interested in meeting up there on a Wednesday or just doing something on a Saturday or Sunday?

NismozZz - Nice lowered Nismo Z. I wasn't aware they hold car shows at bear Mountain.

We should set a date for all of us to meet at bear mountain or somewhere. Maybe at Yorktown cars & coffee.

I know its very last minute but any fellow Z owners interested in meeting up at Bear Mountain tomorrow for the cruise night in the field?

Bringing this back to see if there's any interest in getting a group of Z's together on a weekend in the following week or so...

I'm free on Saturdays (usually). Might not be free until July though as I already have tentative plans each coming Saturday in June already.
