Pre-Purchase Inspection

I'm planning to buy a used 370z in the next few months, most likely from a dealer. I currently don't have a mechanic that I know/trust. What is the best way to look for a good mechanic that do PPIs?

Does anyone have any recommendations in the Philadelphia and NYC area?

I mean how many miles are on it? I wouldnt be too worried about it if you're getting it with a warranty? Can you supply us with details of the car? Miles? Year? Body style?

I am looking at several used ones in the general region. I've narrowed it down to 2011-2013s 6-speed with sports package and ideally touring as well. Most of them are between 20-40k miles. Unfortunately they are all out of warranty as there aren't that many CPOs available.

There is a 2012 that looks great that's around $21k at 25k miles w/ sports/touring. Seems like a decent deal, but it's been on the market for 6 months already so I wonder if there is anything wrong with it.

Go test drive it. Being on the market for 6 months doesn't mean anything. People just don't want to purchase a "summer only" type of car. That seems like a decent deal by the way. You shouldn't have to worry about anything regarding the engine, these vq motors are bulletproof if treated with care. Just make sure the clutch feel good.
