400Z was the name guessed by a bunch of internet experts and is incorrect. The new model is simply called the Nissan Z. You definitely didn't need to start a new thread for that post

disappionted in the new Z
It seems to be soft, under suspended, bottoming out on suspension travel while hard cornering. The 6 speed will not be able to do a burnout, or power slide, the computer will not let it. It is too heavy and too slow. I was hoping it would be fun, light, lively and fast. It seems to be none of those things. It is described as a Grand Touring highway car by reviewers. I am a big fan of the previous Z's but I am looking for the new Supra 6 speed to do all the things this new Z cannot.

on the other hand
My last post was harsh, I was a bit stressed out. It CAN do a power slide, but not a donut. I really wish it was not over 3500 lbs, it weighs as much as the larger in size V6 Mustang. If they make a NISMO please try and lose 400 lbs, use suspension parts from the GTR parts bin, relax the strict electronic nannies, and sharpen the steering ratio and response. That would make it a great car.
The essence of the Z was a great handling, light, nimble and responsive car. The 400 HP would be more than enough if the Z got back to it's roots. |
this thread is dead. post in the 400z discussion thread.

Trolling from the land down under I see.
The only issue I see is pricing everything else WILL be worked around and you can count on that. The car is Hot and many are desperately forcing themselves into them so they can do R&D. I mean the RS400 Q doesnt make 400whp and ultimately is a Sports Q50 with a 3.0 so who cares? The car cannot surpass the GTR from a production standpoint or else either vehicle sales will be affected. Could a VHR make more power with less money? Absolutely Unsure if you or others are this old however many said though the HR was the mecha of Nissan. Even with **** gallery gaskets the VHR pushed itself into your world. |
Meh, VR30 is still an open deck v6. Nothing to see here, nothing special. Will have all the limitations an open deck always has.
Once again, the competition is gonna dump all over Nissan in 2023 and beyond. Shame Nissan doesn't want to develop a new closed deck v6. They'd rather be cheap and pick a crappy motor out of the parts bin. :shakes head: It is what it is. |
