cant wait for the new Z to come out!

POS VETT 03-25-2021 05:23 AM

It will grow on you

Cyber370 03-25-2021 06:09 AM

Yeah. Not crazy about that front end but compared to the Supra, I can get used to it. The Supra is just fugly!!! At least there are no fake vents and it’s 100% Japanese.

geokots 03-25-2021 06:19 AM

I'm in. I just got my Z last summer so it'll still be a few years for me. Not sure what the price will be but the only effect it'll have on me is if I get new (probably not) or used.

I Already Had A 300Z - Just Not Turbo - Why Not Call It That - 300Z Turbo -

TaroBaapG35 03-25-2021 11:07 AM

I HATED the 370z whenever I saw pictures, but once I saw it in person at the dealer and saw dat big ol'booty I was in love. I think the same might apply to the new Z; I bet it will look incredible once its lowered a tad bit, and wheels spaced out.

I had a 1988 300ZX Turbo and I don't care what it's called. It's just a name. 300Z, 400Z, 370.1Z, TTZ it doesn't matter.

Just Saying...All Other Z Cars Were Named By Displacement - Where Did 400Z Come From? -:shakes head:

Big mouth, not enough curves in the right places. Wait, that sounds like a lady I know. No thanks. :-)

I think the majority of people disliked the grill after the initial unveil. But in these new colors and with some time having passed by, it has grown on me. It’s got the classic look going for it.

Spooler 03-25-2021 02:37 PM

It is getting better and better. I might have to get me one.

My guess is the Infiniti naming convention 400 Red Sport > 400Z.

From the 400hp of the engine it is getting, sorta like the Q50/60 with that motor is called the RS400 with 400hp.

Spooler 03-25-2021 03:13 PM

Waiting for the Nismo one.

The Nissan 400Z has a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo unit generates 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque in base form, compared to the current 370Z's naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 which makes 332 horsepower with 270 lb-ft. (GOOGLE)

I'm Just Not Sure About The Name...:ugh2: -

They should just call it Fairlady here like they do in Japan

That would be cool but only Z enthusiasts would know it’s significance. Others would find it too weird.

I'm referring to why 400 monicure was used.... More than likely it's going to be called Nissan Z despite which engine it has and we don't know for sure if it's going to have the 300hp version of the VR. I don't need to use google as I know these things
:icon14:

Had a silver '74 260z. Loving the hood. I'll need to see it in person and want at least 400hp but I'm excited.

Zyonara91 04-07-2021 10:09 AM

Looking at cars online is like looking at girls online. When you see them in person everything changes for the better or worse.

If you don't like the look don't buy one, the 370z is still a capable car but it will loose to the 400Z on paper and in person when it comes to performance. The look itself is here to stay, look how the 370z was updated aesthetically, not much, not a bad thing though.

The interior I like, the exterior I like as well. Side profiles, rear view and 3/4 views as well. The front am still iffy on, it will grow on me.

NecioVato 04-07-2021 11:29 AM

It will definitely be interesting to see the final product - between the price, the performance and the looks. And as a lot of people have already said - the aftermarket will take care of things we don't like; but I just wonder if the pricing is about right with it starting around $35k (kinda weird to think this car will be cheaper than a Civic Type R but I'm not complaining).
