Would love that. It’s not gonna be a volume car anyway. I rather Nissan choosing to better serve the niche than trying to please a broader base.

Maybe they FINALLY hired someone to actually be on our forums like chevy did. Its amazing how much the camaro 6 got based off the chatter of the camaro 5 forums.
Any car company thats smart would follow the forums.

It looks like there is a noticeable hood "bulge", if you will, down the center of the hood. Similar to the older Z cars.

I'm not feeling the chunky look of the front end. Looks more like one of Detroit's muscle cars than a Z, especially if Nissan is trying to recall the look of the original Z cars.

Lol dude I thought the SAME thing this morning. Idk about you guys, but I'm very excited with what we've seen so far. I feel like some people here are quick to nit pick at any little thing even though we haven't seen the full unveil. What we have seen looks very promising and it's clear that they seem to have listened to a lot of our feedback.

True, my first thought is it looks more like a muscle car, but keep in mind that it most likely won't look as chunky/bulky as that photoshop render looks.

In fact, looking at the teaser video/images you can see there is more curvature and flowing body lines than it seems. I also think that the bigger grille it appears to have will make it look more aggressive. If you look at the current gen 370z (mine pictured below) the front grille looks aggressive, but open it up more and I think it'll look a lot meaner.

Of all the unofficial renders I have seen I think that this one will closely resemble the front end of the proto.

What are the issues/reliability concerns with the VR30DDTT?

from what i have read and a few friends that told me about the vr30 is that some of the early years, the ac pulley or something is not aligned right and causes the motor to overheat and blow.. stock turbos doesnt last long (with mild abuse).. some of the ppl is on their 2nd or 3rd motor (some lightly modded with tune and some stock).. supposedly some of the flaws on the motor was corrected in 2019?

Yeah Manual for sure unless it's a real dual clutch that can take abuse... my regret with my Z was going 7AT, and then having going through the fiasco of having it replaced at 52,000 miles/11 days before 5yr warranty expired.

by the way: So will there be a new URL / 400z forums? I've enjoyed the crowd here so that's why I ask.

New teaser front view of the car..

Some interesting head light design. It looks like 3 different "bulbs". The longer oval ones, I assume, are the lowbeams, the other 2 must be turn signal and high beams? I would hope they'd made the DRL be switch on/off for turn signal like modern cars but who knows.

Not long now! I'm looking forward to the Z Proto Preview...
Following the recent teasers for the event, I went to a Z car meet, shared my speculations and hopes for the next Z and asked some other enthusiasts what they were hoping for...
