I could be totally off but I just think if they were going to kill the Z they wouldn’t have had a 2018 and 2019 model. The Evo X came out around the same as the Z and Mitsu killed it in in 2015 to make way for their Crossover and SUV lineup.

If Nissan wanted to make a shift to crossovers and leave the compact sport car segment it doesn’t make sense to keep rolling the Z’s out in my opinion.

True but this is just Nissan squeezing the lemon dry.

Fun fact the last evo X sold for like 110k!! Lol sucker paid a bit too much for that car that didn't even come with recaro seats for the last model!! Lol
Enjoy your lancer seats from an 18k vehicle

This is kinda off topic, but is in regards to the VR30DDTT engine that we hope the next Z will get. Have you guys seen the development updates? It's freaking awesome. There's no real need to get the Red Sport since the turbine sensor was initially a limiting factor preventing tuners from extracting more power, but they've remedied that. Plus, the main difference between the 300HP and 400HP trim is the additional cooling capacity and turbine sensor.

One can opt for the "simpler" 300HP model, upgrade the heat exchanger, down pipe, exhaust, and tune. The result is north of 400 hp and 450 lb-ft at the wheels. AMS upgraded the pistons, rods, and turbos, and they're able to get 800 whp. So that's great progress, which allows the platform to mature for the future Z.

I'm hoping for something sleek and fairly simple and raw like the "Pure" models for the Q and GT-R, but with a manual transmission.

Were you at ZDAYZ? You are spot on. When I was talking to a couple the Nissan folks that were there they stated the same thing. The one said to me...there really isn't much difference between this engine and the GTR as it is basically the same platform just smaller!

LOL, I talked to the head guy and ask that they use this engine platform for the new Z. I also asked that it be named a 300Z since the numbers have always matched the displacement. I did say that the Nismo version should have the Red Sport engine and that they should bring back the 2009 to 2014 rear wing. I hate the 2015 to current spoiler. The old Nismo RAY's look much better also. If they do this I will
pick up a new one and turn my current ride into a track beast.

FPenvy 06-06-2018 07:31 AM

if you get a Q60, plus upgrades to match GT-R power, you'd be at the same cost, weight, but slower and uglier........

i'll stick with the GT-R

Same here. If they did what you said I would swap mine in a heartbeat!! I even agree with the old nismo wing as well.

A lot can be said about any money we put in our cars, and you're right. The money put in the non-RS Q60 is enough to get a used GT-R. A few friends bought Corvettes since it's a performance bargain out of the box. Looks-wise, that's subjective. Power-wise, there's always going to be faster cars.

My dream car is the classic NSX. It's a timeless design with a very simple and ergonomic interior, great gearbox (MT YEA!), and engine. Power-wise, it lags behind the Civic Type-R. Cost-wise, it's ridiculous.

I've had several friends try to get me back in the car hobby and suggest I get an old car to restore. First, I live in an apartment now (sold house, 2 weeks in), and I don't have time and space for all that lol. Second, I'm not going to waste money on something I don't fully like even though what I really like is out of reach.

yea i agree and everyone has different tastes, budgets, etc...

more or less it was my personal view on it. its a Q60, plus at least 10k in upgrades, same weight, lesser awd system, etc...

now you buy a Q60 used and save 10-15k then youre ahead of the game.

there's many different ways to go about cars and mods. i was throwing my 2 cents into the mix here. also, i can finally speak from the other side and not be torched since i now have a GT-R and not the guys just saying i am buying one :stirthepot:

At least Philly has a Super Bowl trophy and cheesesteaks. The Browns could **** up a two car parade, and LeBron already has the movers on the way.

philly JUST got a superbowl. dont give them any credit just yet plus their reaction says enough about their city.

:bowrofl:

mults 06-07-2018 08:11 AM

Cleveland has a lot to consider...if you don't count any of the sports teams. The Browns haven't been good since they came back in 1999, the Cavs, well, we did have 2016. Indians can be good, but have lost all semblance of a bullpen. There is a long season to go, but in Cleveland, we do not hold our breaths.

I was at least alive in 1964 when the Browns won the NFL Championship, so I really feel for those who are younger. Like I've been saying for most of my life, "There's always next year".

Cheese-steaks, or as we say, "Steak-ums"

No, we would **** up a ONE CAR parade, however we did pretty good with 2-million people when the Cavs won in 2016; the only time an NBA team has EVER come back from a 3-1 deficit by-the-way. Won't happen this year as I think we are going to be swept.

I am over LeBron and his "LeBron" ball...dribble until 2 seconds to go on the shot clock while the other 4 players are standing around watching him. I say good riddance and good luck wherever he "takes his talents to".

That's only called "LeBron Ball" if the shot goes in. If it's a brick, it's called "Harden Ball" :rofl2:

Freakin Harden is only good for drawing fouls. Gives all the viewers a chance to see what's on the other channels. Harden should... :gtfo2:

I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron pulled a KD and goes to the Celtics

Yeah, but he does a good job with helping the community. He has supported so many single moms and girls "working their way through college" at all the finest Houston gentlemen's clubs. We figure at any given time his beard consists of 32% stripper glitter.

You mean we shouldn't waste more time speculating what Nissan will do or posting bogus articles by random websites talking about "the next z"...

JARblue 06-07-2018 10:17 AM

I spoke to a dealer and they told me if I was willing to give them money to pre-order the next gen Z, they would take my money.

Volk Z 06-07-2018 10:20 AM

Dang Jar, did they give you your estimated arrival?
May 2032 or around there?
Specs hover craft, full hybrid that runs on compost and skittles.

JARblue 06-07-2018 10:22 AM

They said I could call and ask and they would lie to me until it arrives.

Only specs they told me were the driver seat is actually a toilet and the car runs on bullshìt.
