passenger window noise

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a noise coming from my passenger side window when rolling up and down. Once the window goes down about 5 inches there is popping noise. It seems to happen during colder and hotter times of the day. I am probably going to stop by the dealership this week , I called them the other day and was told window issues are not covered under warranty. That sounds odd to me , and I cant wait to hear the explanation to why they are not covered. I have only 16k miles and it's still under factory warranty

Depends on how one defines "window issues." This sounds like a mechanical problem to me (something binding/releasing in the window mechanism), not a glass problem. I don't know for sure but any mechanical problems should still be covered under warranty. Unless your passengers have been dropping pennies or shots of vodka into your door.

Do your passengers use the glass to close the door? This could cause problems and fall under "abuse", voiding warranty for that repair.

But I'm no warranty expert. I'd let the dealer do an inspection and see what they say. If it turns out not to be your fault and they refuse to fix it under warranty, then worry about it.

i would remove the door panel, plug the switch back onto the harness, and see where it's making the popping issue...

Thanks for the info, I went to dealership this morning and they told me the window was off track and they did me a FAVOR by fixing under warranty. Lol I was a little confused since I barely ever roll down my windows and the comment of doing me a favor. I could of sworn my warranty said "bumper to bumper" maybe that bypassed with windows.
