Green Cruise (Control) Light Flashing

My Green Cruise (Cruise Contol) light started flashing. This is while driving around town with Cruise Control turned off. If I shut the car off and restart it generally doesn't come back on for a while. If the light is not flashing and I turn Cruise Control on it works fine. If the light is flashing Cruise Control doesn't work at all. I waited until the light started flashing and then headed to my dealer so I could show them the problem as opposed to trying to describe a problem I could not replicate. There is a TSB out for Cruise Control problems on a number of Nissan models, although the description is not exactly my problem. I am throwing code P605 which is the code in the TSB. First step was for the dealership to adjust the Cruise Control brake pedal switch which they did. After adjustment they could not replicate the problem. They kept the work order open in case the problem came back, which it did two days later. Same scenario, except it is happening more frequently. They have now ordered a new brake switch which is the next step in the TSB. Hopefully that will fix the problem, if not it may be the ECU itself. My service advisor is working through it as best he can, having to go through each step in sequence. I don't understand how it can be the brake switch when the problem happens with Cruise Control not powered on . . . but I don't claim to understand the electronics involved.

P605 is a ROM error. Will probably have to replace ECM.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking but I have to go through the dealier's process - replace the brake switch, if that doesn't fix it ECM is next. They're going to eliminate the cheaper solutions first before shelling out the big bucks.

Thanks!

What is the TSB # for the cruise light blinking? I can't find it.
