Need help with a few questions

I just got my Nismo this past saturday and it's awesome. I noticed that when I was accelerating hard with some slippage the VDC light would blink, like it should. So I wanted to do a run with it off so I pushed the VDC button on the left of the wheel and i did'nt see or hear any confirmation that the VDC was off. I held it down for 10 seconds, 5, 3 all kinds of combinations and it stayed on. Has anyone else ran into this problem, and if so what did you do to fix or is this where I put it in the shop. Second if you look at the pic with the steering wheel you'll notice that i have bluetooth controls on the wheel but I have no ideal how to link it to my system because it's not the Bose unit?!? I have a owners manual coming in the mail so i'm flying blind. Lastly does the rear defroster work slow because I watched it this morn and it seemed like it took about twenty minutes to see some melting on the back windows and the side rearviews. Any help will be appreciated and thans to all who respond in advance, here's some pics of my baby!

The traction control not turning off is a bit odd. You should have a light pop on the dash when you hold the button down. Perhaps the connector behind the button is not connected, has a bad button or actually has a problem with your traction control. If the connector appears ok and the button is okay then sounds like dealer time.

As for the bluetooth, as far as I am aware you either need the Nav or the Bose. If you have neither then perhaps it has an aftermarket add on or dealer upgrade. There was a thread about something similar here:

Both the issue you have with the car are a bit odd. I hope it wasn't tampered with at some point!

There's no light that specifically says "VDC off" instead the traction light turns on and stays on in the middle of your tach. It will still blink to indicate loss of traction but the system will not step in to correct slippage.

Hopefully that answers your question.

yeah I have no lights at all the only light I see is when the wheel spins then it blinks after the blinks it goes away. I pushed the button then spun the wheels and it kicked in and cut power, so it may be dealer time.

If you trust yourself enough I'd say pull the button out or see if there is access from under the dash and test it with a Multimeter. If the car is not under warranty you may be able to save yourself hundreds by diagnosing what could be a simple issue. I'd be surprised if there really was an issue with the TC if it is engaging normally and you don't have any warning lights etc. It may just be the button or something simple like a disconnected harness. You really never know the history of the vehicle and it could have been a clumsy tech installing something aftermarket or a father that didn't want his kid turning the TC off while he is away on business! Ya just never know!

*edit > and if it is under warranty just take it straight to the dealer!
