I don't think it's the service part that they won't do, its the warranty work. It totally undstandable considering that they probably have zero training on the Z, let alone with a GT-R. Even here there are specialized GT-R techs. To be honest, I wouldn't want these guys touching my car anyways. The warranty has limitations, especially on location, so you're pretty much out of luck since they don't sell the Z there.

EDIT: also, it's more so not just oil changes, tire rotations etc. its major parts specific to the Z that they would have to be prepared to do.

tire rotations:confused::confused:

Mike if you put it that way i can affirm your statement. No problem to go a lil bit far for service but they are really retards.

You know here a 2012 subaru STI is 65k? and a bmw M1 is 73k and M3 132k? audi TT is 90k? >.>

In 2008 they brought 4 350z's all A/T they wanted 57k (1 was specially ordered for the ex president son) for the base model they sold 2 and 2 still on sale LOL

How ever there is even an aventador here which is amazing. People got money to buy this kind of cars but Nissan doesn't have the balls to sell them. A shame

Weird thing is that the Operations Manager said they do sell the GT-R but not the Z while the sellers said no lol. Go Nissan >.>

Yeah, I know the price for importing is insane. I know in the Philippines, there's 100% import tax. Those that can afford it, can pretty much afford to have it fixed anyways, so they usually don't care a whole lot about any warranty work. It's just one of those things that you have to live with if the car wasn't introduced to that market. In the US, back a decade, before the R35 for example, you'd be sh?t out luck bringing an imported R34 into a Nissan Service Department for any kind of warranty repair.

I'm assuming it also has a lot to do with market percentage. I think they still consider Peru an emerging market and put simply, the vast majority of people can't afford the Z at that price, let alone a GT-R. Sure, there are the wealthy few such as yourself, but you're in the minority. Nissan can't make a profit selling the Z there, so it's kind of pointless from their perspective.

Days can pass by and this subject can be unfinished but i always take the STI as example to compare "what if". Let's see what Nissan would say

I fail to see why a dealership in Peru that doesn't sell or warranty your car should be forced to perform service. You knew the stakes going in, have a local mechanic do it or better yet... do it yourself.

I know this since 2010 and always did service in somewhere else.
