Very high rev hang

Alright well I got into my z let it warm up and when I would shift I noticed the RPMs would stay high and very very slowly drop. I don't have synchro rev my z is a 09 with 27,000 miles. This is very frustration as I would shift from 1st to 2nd at 3,000rpm and they would stay at 3,000 for at least 3-4 secs. The only thing I did yesterday was wash&wax. Last week had an oil change it's 5w-30 Please all help/ideas welcome.

By the way when I would come to a complete stop the rpm would hang dispute the clutch being engaged

I am no mechanic but sounds like a hanging drive by wire system. I would take it to the dealer....before it stays stuck like another car I know of.

If this doesn't work? Like Matt advised take it in so it gets looked at

Does it idle higher than normal?

If so it sounds like a vacuum leak if the engine is slowly coming to idle or the idle sensors acting up.

I would check the intakes hoses for something thats loose?

or try to reset the ecu? By disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery

Be WARNED that you will have to reset your windows
