Maintenance warned by the onboard computer?

Hi,

Just purchased a 370Z some days ago and I was wondering if I need to keep an eye on the kilometers or if the car will tell me automatically when a maintenance is due?
I've had until now a Volvo C30 which tells you pretty much (too much...) everything that's happening to the car so I'm used to getting informed by the car itself when I need to go to the garage ;-)
Thanks!

There is no automatic maintenance calculator system, you just have to estimate based on your miles, time and driving style. Yes, it is odd as most cars these days have it.

There is a reminder you can set in the trip computer for x number of miles.

OK, thanks.
The dealer just did a maintenance (that's what he said...) before selling the car.
When do you usually go for maintenance in KM/miles?
I'm just used to going every 15000KM with my C30, is it way too much?
Thanks!

I saw there is a maintenance reminder for oil/filter on the trip computer settings, so hopefully it should remind you once you set it up and reset each time

It's a sports car and you are driving it a lot harder so frequent oil changes are important. As long as you are using quality synthetic oil and aren't hitting the race track you should be able to go 7-8K km but 15K would be really pushing it. Check the oil level periodically to make sure you aren't burning any as there have been some dud engines.

Thank you for the advice!
Hitting the track is the next step (== in the next few months) :-)
I'll check how to set an alarm regarding distance

The track dramatically reduces oil life expectancy, as a preventative measure I change my oil after every track weekend (2 track days), but if you aren't pushing the oil temp too hard then you could go 2 track weekends (4 track days).

What oil do you recommend?

Brand naming can be a little different in Europe, but for the mass produced oils I've had good results with Castrol Edge and Penzoil Platinum, and of the more boutique oils Redline has performed solidly. The European formulation of Mobile 1 is supposedly good too but we can't get it very easily here.
