Is it okay to mix Nissan Ester 5W30 with other

So my car is low on engine oil. I think it is filled with Nissan Ester 5W30 but im not sure cuz I recently bought a used Z. Im thinking of filling a little with Castrol Edge Titanium 5W30 Motor Oil from walmart. Should it be go or no go??

now you know you cannot get unicorn blood at walmart FTW.

Seriously you will be fine to mix until you can do a proper oil change.

Yup. You can only get it at Sam's. They sell it by the 55 gallon drum. Unicorns bleed a lot.

So you guys saying no go here? I need just a little amount of oil to fill up to recomended line so what if I buy nissan ester oil from ebay for 10 bucks and fill up???????????? Should it be okay?

No. We're messing with you. It's fine to mix since you're in need.

I got my warranty still available, does nissan provide free engine oil change?

TreeSemdyZee 12-18-2011 10:57 AM

No. The only way you can get that is if you have the additional maintenance agreement or if the selling dealer gave a special deal like "first year free...".

How close are you to the next change...maybe just get it done, or do it yourself...
