Heater Issue??? 2010 370 roadster
I have a 2010 roadster, touring, sport pack, 6 speed.
My issue is with the heater temp control set to full cool the heater system still blows warm and sometimes hot air. Is this normal for this vehicle? I've had the car less than 3 months. Also, this is an intermittent problem - the hardest type of problem to diagnose I realize. For exaample there has been a time at a temp of +15c/59F I've had to turn the a/c on. Also - the dealer tells me this is normal......I have never encountered this problem on any car I have had in the past with a properly functioning heating and a/c system. Thanks very much for any responses. Dave |
Are you saying you are running the climate control (fans) but *not* enabling the A/C and it blows warm air?
If so, then I would expect warm air to blow unless temps are less then say 50F/10C. The blower pulls air from the cowl which also is taking in some engine air. The Z has a warm running engine that is also tightly packaged. I have had several other cars behave the same, such as a 92 miata and 2002 WRX. An 06 G35 sedan isn't as bad but still there. Older miata are known to run warm, and the WRX has a snail hanging close to the firewall: big ole heat sink :) I run the A/C frequently in our ZR...have had it only 4 months so temps have not been < 50 yet. - b |
Thanks for the reply. I've never encountered this before. Came from a porsche to this car. Selecting air source brings on the a/c as well. Thought one should be able to select the source (inside/outside) without activating a/c when the fan speed has been selceted manually. With the exception of the heater & a/c controls this is a great car.
