How often do you change Transmission/Diff fluid?

I'm a real novice when it comes to cars, and i saw some posts about people replacing their transmission and diff oil. Wondering how often you are suppose to change that because i only get an oil change. Also are there any fluids that you have to replace to maintain the car?

In the past with manual transmissions you pretty much don't need to change it if your not abusing it. AT is usually about 100k or so. Look in the book and make a judgement on how you drive and go from there. IMO

Change it every 30k plus powersteering flush, coolant flush and brake flush

I did transmission & diff at 30k, car feels a good bit smoother.
