Extended Warranty

Do you guys think the extended warranty is worth it? It's only $20/month extra for bumber to bumber warranty for 6 years. Covers all engine/suspension/electronics.

If your financing longer than 3yrs or just want peace of mind? Then you might want to consider it. But other than that imho no, I don't think it's worth it (gap insurance would be more a priority if financing). Especially when you tack it on to a car loan. Intrest on a warranty? yikes! :shakes head:

Just incase you didnt know, you can purchase extended warranty anytime before the standard 3yr is up. You can also purchase it from any Nissan dealer. So if you are interested in getting one you should really shop around for the best price etc..

Don't forget it's not the salespeople who are the most dangerous at a dealership... It's the sharks in the finance office that are the most evil. No joke be on your toes in there..

Good luck!

Which Nissan extended warranty are you considering? You have 60 days to cancel it and receive a full refund.

If you are getting the Security+Plus warranty for $1,440, then that is a good deal (excluding the interest you are paying on the loan for the additional $20/mo)?

Actually, I think I'll start poll regarding warranty.

Thanks for the info guys. I will definitely consider it before the 3yr warranty expires.

I ended up buying a 5 yr/75,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty (I plan on keeping the car for a while), as well as the wheel/tire, windshield and body dings, and one of those also came with roadside assistance. I had 0 intention of buying any of that, but the total price was $1k. I couldn't pass that deal up. I was especially interested in the body dings/dents removal as well as the wheel/tire portion of the policy.

What is the wheel/tire portion?

If get a nail or blow a tire -- they replace it. If i bend a rim -- they replace it.
