I just called my local Nissan dealership and they said they don't do nitrogen fills. Aren't all of the dealerships supposed to offer it?

Ended up going to Costco down the street for a free fill. I was down to 31psi all around.

Crap...any issues mixing o2 in the mix? Had green caps, but was a few pounds low in each so I topped off...

DeLRo 09-09-2010 03:11 AM

^^
Shouldn't be any issues mixing the two. I wanted to have them completely bleed out my tires since I didn't know if I was filled originally with nitro or not. But it was an hour wait so I'll have to go back. They do it for free for all members. Or you can top off yourself as well if you just drive up.

So Costco will bleed them dry and fill them up for free?

Pelican170 09-09-2010 09:05 AM

I wont be refilling with nitrogen again. I think its a total waste to spend money on that...

Elemental nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless and mostly inert diatomic gas at standard conditions, constituting 78.08% by volume of Earth's atmosphere. That means in the air we breathe....Dont waste your money on nitrogen.....

My tires came filled with nitrogen but I have blue caps!

Both of my 370Z' came with Nitrogen, but my Titan didn't.

Did they sold you the car with filled Nitro tires? Is so that is so BS, they are suppose to service your tires if they get low. However, you might have a leak if your tires have Nitro for them to go down to that PSI.

I wouldnt spend 100 bucks on it.. but considering my dealer did it, and maintains it for free.. ima stick with it.

i'd rather have 95% nitrogen than 78% nitrogen mixed with moisture.

Pelican170 11-05-2010 11:52 AM

If my dealer did it for free, then I would get it done... but they wont do it for free....

I have had my car for close to a year now and I have not hadto top off the tires as of yet. So either the nitro is that efficient, or my tpms sensors are jacked . Come to think of it,I got an email recently asking me to have the tires "serviced" at my earliest convenience. I have not had any issues with flashing lights or anything, but I cant speak for everyone. :twocents:

very true, but in fairness, this car has seen its fair share of canyon runs, and "spirited" speeds. Along with the fact the vehicle sits M-F,I am surprised I dont have bald spots on my tires.
