e85 Cleaned My Fuel System

First, a little background. In the Summer of 2018, I went full bolt-ons and tune for my 2016 Nismo. For two years, I had no code issues. In the Summer of 2020, I started to through codes P2096 & p2096. I assumed that it was 1 of 3 issues: (1) dirty fuel system; (2) bad o2 sensor(s); or (3) intake or exhaust leak. I took the car to Nissan and Midas, but they did not find anything wrong with the car. It was a little lean, but was within safe limits - according to Nissan. I purchased an OBDII reader and cleared the codes every 250 miles. Even when the service engine soon light was not active, I would always have a red warning light for "fuel" when I used the OBDII reader. Four days ago, I filled up my car with 93 octane. Later that same day, I got the bright idea to add 2 gallons of e85 to my tank. Four days later, here are the outcomes. First, the red warning light that was ALWAYS present on the OBDII reader has totally gone away - I now have all green codes on the OBDII reader. That had not occurred even once in the last two years. Second, the oil temperature is running cooler, as it had been between 200-210, but now registers between 190 - 200. Third, the engine temperature light use to hoover at the first light to the left of the center, but now it hoovers at the second light left of the center. So the car is running cleaner and cooler. I have not performed any pulls, and I perform all routine maintenance. What gives?

Ethanol runs cooler and without a tune adjustment it will run leaner also.

Hi Spooler.

I am waiting on my Ace Supercharger Kit, and I have been following your TT build. I was not expecting the e85 to clean out the system. I'm thinking that a gallon or two with a full tank of 93 should be okay until I get boosted.
