Windows go down by themselves when car is off!?!?
Car is at the dealer now and they seem stumped. They've never heard of this before. Several days after having the wheel lock thingy replaced the windows will go down by themselves as if the unlock button on the FOB is being held down. Doesn't do it all the time, and may take an hour or so after being turned off to do it.
Any ideas? |
First thing I'd try is the window reset procedure. If that didn't fix it, I'd try cleaning the fob.

I don't want to speak too soon and jinx myself, but that is exactly what I told the dealer (Gordie Boucher in Greenfield, WI) to do. When I picked the car up they charged me $160! I won't go into the discussion here, but you can google them an see my review. Of course I am not assuming it's actually fixed. I have never encountered a service guy that so flat out lied straight your face. Kind of like pissin' down your back and tell you it's rain.

Well, they didn't fix it. Did the window reset. No help. It's not predictable either. So I sold it to Carvana and bought an old beater just to get me to and from work. After having the Lotus Elise from 2005 to 2010 any car after that just seemed like a big bloated pig.
