ecm and vvel module needs replacing??

My 370 is stock, 110k miles. It was taken into the dealer after it wouldn't rev above 2k. It also wouldn't go above 5 mph. The cel came on. The problem was intermittent. The nissan dealer says 3k for ecm and vvel module replacement. Im cool with that because the parts are very cheap if they are used. I would just have the dealer reprogram everything, which they said was about 1.5 hrs labor. I found the replacements for under 300 bucks. My question is if I have to specify anything when searching for parts. My car is a MT, 2009, sport package. Is there a difference with vvel modules? Also I'm guessing the ecms are different with AT and MT? I just am curious about these before I buy replacement parts. Thanks.

I'd take the car to another Nissan shop and get a second opinion. While certainly not impossible, I think it highly unlikely that both modules would go out at the same time (unless you had an electrical surge).
