Stiff clutch pedal after sitting

Hey all!

Really hoping someone can help me figure this one out -

The issue: After letting the car sit for a while (>30 min) the next time I press the clutch in, it will be super firm / stiff. After a couple presses, it goes back to normal. I've even had it happen while driving on the highway where I hadn't pushed in the clutch for a while.

Things I've tried: bleeding the clutch at the slave cylinder, cracking the line at the master (there was definitely air trapped there), re-bleeding at the slave. Full fluid flush to dot4.

The cause?: I recently had the specialtyz clutch & flywheel kit + racing slave & oem master cylinder installed. After all that was installed, I put on an RJM adjustable pedal. While doing any bleeding, I've made sure to adjust the pedal back down to the 0% setting per instructions.

Could it be a faulty master? Maybe I did something wrong while installing the adjustable pedal? Bleeding technique off? I've followed any instructions I've found 100%. I'm just at a complete loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
