I'm going to make a long story short. The tube that allows the gas tank to vent to my charcoal canister is clogged. Supposedly their is a baffle in there and mine got stuck on damaged. Once again, very short story but ive owned the Z since August and the car never wants to take gas and the tank builds pressure. After pulling the fuel pump, sending unit and playing process of elimination with the charcoal canister me and a mechanic friend are like 99% sure the line between the tank and canister needs to be replaced.

So i go online and the find the part number 17338-1EA0B which i believe to be the vent line. I have a friend that is the part manager at Oreileys and he got me it. Correct me if im wrong on the diagram the Green line on the canister is the purge solenoid which goes to the intake manifold by the engine. Yellow line is the vent valve which vents to atmosphere and the red line is the nipple that connects to the line that goes to get tank.

So i need the red line. the red line connects to "A" and on the upper diagram "A" is 17338Y which cross references to part #17338-1EA0A. That should be the vent line from the canister to the fuel tank.
So i order it and get it here today. the thing is 6-7 feet long and runs the length of the car. No way its the right part.

If you have problems filling the tank then I would think the problem is the filler vent hose that runs along the fill tube. Are you sure the line that you removed is bad? Did you try to blow through it or use compressed air on it?

Thats where the long story got short. Its the line from the gas tank to canister.

We disconnected the charcoal canister fully. No hoses hooked up and wouldnt take gas. With those unhooked we pulled the sending unit. I went and bought some vacuum hose and put it on the inside of the nipple. With one end of the vacuum hose on the nipple i put an air compressor on the other end, it blew the vacuum hose off the nipple. Has to be the hose. I now just need the part #
