Bumper surprise

Second day I have my car I take the front license plate holder off to find a huge gouge gouging across the bumper with the clear coat peeling off. Dealership sent it out to a shop yesterday to get fixed. I'm hoping I get the car back before the weekend, think that's a stretch?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...45f4085dce.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...5571062549.jpg

Fuckin dealer$hits :shakes head:

Typically, no. But it's going to depend on the body shop's competency and current workload. Should be a quick fix for someone that knows what they're doing. But since you're going through the dealer, who knows how long it will take :eekdance:

Now I know the paint is already soft on this car, do I need to wait a day or two after to drive it to prevent damage to the paint? It's my dd

You will be fine to drive it. Don't wash or wax the bumper right when you get the car. Ask the body shop they will tell you what precautions you should follow.

the scratch looks to be extended beyond the front plate holder. Did you not see it when you picked up the car?'

Saw the pic you posted on another thread. Didn't notice the scratches there.

did you buy it from a Nissan dealer? You're lucky they didn't blame it on you for the scratches.

That's right after I waxed. I noticed the part that protruded. This was the day before I took it home. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...0a19867680.jpg

im so confused

i see nothing

are you sure you bought the same car you looked at the days before?

nis350 10-06-2016 11:35 PM

I suppose we are all a bit confused.

No Nissan dealer would sell a certified car with that kind of obvious damage on the bumper and the picture proved that.

Hope the dealer won't see this post.....

So YOU were the one responsible for the scratches, and you blamed the dealer? :shakes head:

I didn't cause the scratches.it came like that, or was cause by someone on the lot between inspection and sell date. Couple other things they didn't inspect to well that should have with any cpo. Brakes needed changed, they were singing when I went on a test drive, and those were supposed to be checked and got marked as fine.

Anyways it came out greathttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d5184ccee2.jpg

Get a clear bra for the ENTIRE hood and front bumper. Worth every penny!
