Some extra HP for our Roadsters?? (Within Reason)

Any recommendations for getting a bit more pep, and sound out of our Z Roadsters.

I've read many reviews on Intake (Looking at Gen3) and a few on Exhaust... however I dont want to much noise as far as highway driving and cabin noise for longer cruises. But I want my Sports Car to sound like a Sports Car... (My 350z had a better exhaust note)

I'm looking to start with Intake/Exhaust, but possible long term goal of a SC, and manifold upgrade as well....

There is nothing different about the R mechanically. Read up in the other forums for all sorts of reviews, dynos etc...

I run a AAM muffler: no drone, but some nice V6 growl. Could be a tad louder for my tastes. I already had a Nismo and the H pipe else given some seat time with other full bolt ons I may have gone another direction. I personally don't feel any need for an intake on the Z.

This is purely for sounds and aural enjoyment: the 5-10 HP gain is up top and only seen on a dyno. 300+ HP is plenty :P

Just installed Fast Intentions cat backs with 12" resonators. Nice growl, supposed to bump HP aprox+15

I also have the Fast Intention W/o RES and it does add a great grumble to it

suggest OP looks it up

However that 15HP is not usually accurate.. those are numbers that could mean hundreds of different things to a manufacturer trying to sell there product.

These numbers have been backed up tons of times with independent dynos. Just sayin

Works great - picked up some throttle response - sounds excellent too at WOT

Same as some others, I have K&N intakes and just put a Stillen cat back exhaust on it. Could have also gone for a bit more growl, but its pretty nice all in all.

Thanks Skidad, K&N's are next.......maybe Santa will leave me some under the tree?

I have the Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Z1 Intake Plenum mod, Berk HFCs and Stillen catback exhaust. With the UpRev tune I dyno'd at 311/254 at the wheels. It sounded great on my road trip from Atlanta, GA to Hood River, OR and back this past summer. Nice deep growl, no drone yet got loud when I got on it.
