Roadster Owner Question...

I have owned the car for 2 years but have always wondered... My 2010 Roadster did not come with a spare tire or Jack only a pump and a canister to fix flats.

Can you ZR owners tell me if yours came the same way? Even without a Jack?

:tiphat:

Thanks

My 2010 roadster is the same, just fix a flat stuff no spare or jack. Saves weight and space I guess.

I believe most cars in the US come that way with the exception of a few states that by law require a spare tire. AFAIK in Canada, all Z's come with a spare tire and jack.

I have a 2013 roadster and it has no jack or spare tire, it just came with the canister.

K-W as in Kitchener-Waterloo?

No Spare

Run Flat Tires. Nissan figures you don't need a spare. Without run flats, I understand, a spare came with the car.(Coupes) IMHO the run flats are not as popular as previously thought, when replacement time comes you may opt for reg tires. (The run flats are stiffer ride.) then you might want a spare. I bought a OME spare from some one here on the forum. But, again IMHO , only the OME jack will fit under the car and fit in the compartment in the trunk . The spare weighs 32 lbs.
Regards

Yeah good old Kitchener-Waterloo :)

Ah, so the later model Cdn roadsters no longer come witha spare. Too bad.

My roadster has a spare tire and jack. I believe it was $150 option on my window sticker

Potenzas are not run flat tires. You pick up a nail in one, it'll get way too flat on the bottom.

I think they feel that with pressure sensors you have a chance to do something about it before it gets too bad.

My 2013 Pathfinder scissor jack works just fine on my Z. My floor jack isn't low enough to go under the sides at the jack points but the Pathfinder jack fit under and lined up perfectly with the jack point. My guess is all Nissan jacks are the same but I know the Pathfinder jack works just fine.

I still have the jack from my '76 280Z. It works just fine.

From the looks of the pics on Ebay, the Altima jack will work. I suspect a couple might not, but most look like they will. One had a very tall piece on the top (the part with the slot that fits to the underbody of the car). The ones with the short contact point should be ok.

Thank you all for responding at least we are all the same.. Look at the bright side no spare less weight I guess or just Nissan cost cutting :ugh2:

I've got the pump and canister, too. Still have my original window sticker; it lists "Tire Repair Kit**" as standard equipment.

My 2011 roadster has a spare tire and jack as well, they can (or at least could) be ordered that way.
