Intelligent Key System Warning Light blinking while car is off
 

I have a 2010 roadster, and I'm getting the dreaded "Intelligent Key System Warning Light blinking while car is off" issue, but everything still works as normal. Any idea how much time I have until the car has a "steering wheel lock" failure? I did verify, the car is at rev c (48700-JF00C). I plan on taking it to the dealership over the weekend. When I called, they told me to change the battery on the FOB. I have 2 FOBs, one never used until now. I told him this is probably an impending "steering lock solendoid failure". He didn't seem to know anything about this issue, which doesn't give me much confidence in there capabilities.

were you able to resolve this? my key fob is not always recognized now, but no warning light. I am thinking I should change the battery.

This was a non-issue. I totally misunderstood the warning light. The blinking is normal when the car is off. It looks like you may need a new battery for your fob.

Hey magnum I don't think in your case is a battery because you should have a icon on dash advising you to replace your batteries from your key...
