How do you clean your convertible cover?
I just realized that I never cleaned the metal/plastic cover that holds the top in. How do you clean yours? You can't really rinse it down with a hose and wash it with soap. Do you just use a wet towel, soap, wipe dry, put the top up and then continue to wash the car?

I just use gobs of quick detail spray.

I use a separate micro-fiber rag and a very small amount of my car soap in some water. I then use the hose to rinse out the rag and wipe the soap off the car a few times with the wet rag. That way I don't spray water in the cabin. I use Turtle Wax Ice as my "wax" for the car and I make sure I use it on the top cover at least twice a year.

Since mine never really gets much more than dusty, my California Duster handles that nicely.

On occasion I drop the top before waxing. Just make sure the top is relatively dry before. My issue is cleaning that back window! I have to use a wand to reach it!

washing the top
I put a dollar in the pressure wash and spray it only as much as needed (no soap).

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. Damp Towels then dry towels with the lid open works well for me. Done it for years with a 350 roadster.

I use Adam's Waterless Wash. Works great.

Microfibre cloth a shot of detailer spray.
