Roadster

I'm currently torn between waiting for the 370Z Roadster to be released this summer, or try to find a deal on a 350Z Roadster available now. I've seen a 2008 350Z Roadster Enthusiast as low as $30K with discounts, but I think I could still find it lower. Any theories to what price the 370Z Roadster will be released at? If its higher than $35K I am afraid I won't be able to afford it. I am just looking for the base without any options. Budget unfortunately is a factor.

^^^ i really don't know what price to expect..........not much has been talked about the roadster yet.......still in the mysterious phase

Just left the dealership...

Salesman tried to tell me that they aren't releasing the 370Z in a roadster model. He tried to tell me that no convertible will be released with the 3.7 liter engine, and new body style. I told him that it is be unveiled at the NY auto show in April, and that I've even seen pictures of it. Wouldn't budge. Someone please confirm for me that he was full of BS.

That salesman is a moron and for just that reason would go to another dealership....

it's been a phenomenon that the Salesman are always the last person to find out about things...which is just strange...you'd think they would know about new cars coming to the line up..but they don't know much at all......

Thank you

Thank you for the confirmation. I'm heading to 2 different dealerships tomorrow. I'm still looking at how cheap I can get a 350Z to make my decision. The dealer I went to today tried to sell me a 350Z enthusiast for $34900, when they offered $30990 by email. Got to test drive the 370Z for the first time, which was amazing. Wish the roads just weren't so icy so I could've opened her up a little.

^^ so wait...you walked in there..price was $34900

then emailed and price was $30990

ok....mad weird...trying to play games or what...time to go somewhere else

Worse

They emailed me that the price was 31000. Then I got in there and had to talk to a different salesman. He said that the price I was quoted included a bunch of discounts that I wasn't eligible for. He tacked on $3K to the price I was quoted. Regardless, the dealership was so dishonest with me, I had no interest in working with them. They tried to sell me a "New" 2008 convertible with 5,000 plus miles on it. If I wanted to push them low, I probably could've gotten them to below $30K, but there are enough dealships in the world I can go to.

You have already answered your question. When we went to the dealership (as we were test driving automobiles the entire day, and our son said to checkout the new 370Z, this was at 8:00 p.m.) and drove off with a new 370Z; there was another person who drove off in another 370Z about an hour before we left—that left a base model sitting on the showroom floor—that was it for the stock they had. We wish we had started at the Nissan dealership versus ending at it as the 370Z sold itself! The new convertible 370Z is not going to be a bargain like the existing 350Z as they were, and might still be, offering 1.9% rate on through Nissan finance on 2008 350Zs and great discounts.

I would expect the vert to be at, or above your limit. I'd get the 350.
