370Z Roadster Stripping
I search and searched for weeks with no luck trying to find pictures or information online to remove the panels on the roll bar. I emailed different people and did not get any feedback.
So I decided to do it myself and take pictures so that someone else that is trying to remove has a reference point. My goal was to expose the factory roll bar and share the pictures with a fabricator to make me a custom roll cage. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...782a7de26c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0ba110ab58.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...da0f0cbcbf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0debbf701d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c402057573.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5f66418a0e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c9b3f30ea1.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Blueranger/Davectr, were you able to separate/split the plastic covers that go over the metal roll bars without doing damage to them so that you'd be able reinstall them? Looking at the pictures, it's hard to tell.
My technician said they tend to crack/split upon removal. |

I searched the internet for weeks trying to find pictures to see where the clips are located and remove safely with no luck. This is why I posted all of these pictures to help someone like me trying to remove and needed to see the clip locations. Hope my pictures help you and others! :tiphat: |
Managed to get most off ok but a couple of clips cracked/broke. I repaired them with 2 pack modelling glue and they're fine. I think it's virtually impossible to remove them without any clips breaking, however there should be no damage to the outside of the covers. At least people know that now, so you can decide whether to attempt it in the knowledge it can be done but will need minor repairs

Nice to know what it looks like inside there. Never really thought much about it before but it's good to know where to come if I ever want to know something more specific. Don't want to rip everything out if I don't have to.
