Would you use "Forcefield protectant spray" on your soft top ?
Hello fellow members,
My wife today had purchased for me two spray cans, which she thought it might be a good idea since I have been complaining about my soft top was never been water proof since day one. The water seems like it just soaks up and never beads. Of course before I start spraying all over the top, just thought I would ask for some support first. This spray is advertise for shoes and seems solid evident from there videos I have seen on you tube https://youtu.be/mBfKCFbYje4 There is plenty more there on YouTube, but the question is, "Is it safe to use ?" I have attached a picture of what the can is and what it contains. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...8965f349f8.jpg The can does say "Not for use on Vinly or patent leather" Does this mean it's safe for our canvas tops? I'm hesitate because the bottle contains alcohol .... Thanks million guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Hi
I haven't heard of anyone using this product. I looked for info. about it & nowhere did it say about having UV protection. That is something you would want for sure on the top. I use Raggtopp RAGGTOPP Convertible Top Care & there are other members that use 303. Just make sure if you are going to buy one of these products that you get the fabric one NOT THE VINYL one. |
"ForceField™ Protector’s elite technology provides armor-like protection and waterproofing for all types of footwear, outerwear, backpacks and hats." Not a word about verts. I'd try something else (see OldGuyFla's comment above). YMMV

I'm a 303 Fabric Protectant fan. I apply it with a brush for better control and more thorough coverage. Works great.
Had I not started out with 303 I'd have no second thoughts about using Raggtopp. Stuff for shoes, not so much. |
