Just ordered a sprintbooster...

I had a Racechip response control for my Audi and absolutely loved the drastic difference it made. I even took out the neuspeed power module because it just wasn't needed and the throttle booster was just that much better. Fast forward to now, others have posted great results on the 370 and I know it will be the best 300 bucks I could spend. There's something about the signal and the massive differences modding that signal will make with these drive by wire systems. Can't wait to get it and get it installed!

Nice! Been reading nothing but rave reviews from actual owners for several years now, I finally decided to pick one up myself. It's in the mail and should be here soon. I can't wait to lose this throttle lag! I will be getting a tune some time down the road, not sure when, but in the mean time this will help the car to be more responsive for everyday driving which I'm pretty excited for.

With all the tunes available I always have the itch but as with my first Audi tune I regretted having it and had countless coil pack issues so I swore I'd never do it again. New Audi I traded in on the Z I could not believe the difference the throttle mod made, and that really made me regret all the money, and I mean all the money put towards ecu flash, injectors, plugs, test pipe, coilpacks, and the list goes on plus I felt it greatly compromised the intigrity of the car. The sprintbooster thinking is brilliant, that signal can and will affect so many other aspects, like how the transmission shifts, all kinds of goodness. Can't wait either, it will be a great weekend for sure!

I am curious as to how this performs in your Z. Make sure you come back here and give your review as I am thinking it may be a worthwhile mod to my roadster.

I am also curious as to how easy it is to install - did you do it yourself or did you have some one install it?

Thanks and I look forward to hearing.

Im super curious too. That lag on a hot, humid summer day is sickening and embarrassing. Any particular brand out there ? or is it just Sprintbooster ?

Hello Brian, just dropping this off here in case you're interested... It's off topic btw.

The install is super easy but extremely delicate since so much ecu stuff is happening via that throttle connection. I know you need to hear the "clicks" when making the connections. It's so simple it's silly. It's just the "smart key" thing and keeping it out of the cars range will help in cutting off the electricity to the pedal. That's what throws a light on in the cluster. Unplug plug, plug sprint in and plug factory plug into booster, really easy. Just the key thing. I will do what I did with the audi and keep the key far away, keep doors open, trunk and hood up did the trick before, no issues whatsoever. Some don't get the factory plug clicked in all the way and throws a cel. Solid click connections are key. As I've learned....

I just installed mine yesterday, arrived in 24hrs from ordering. Made a huge difference, no throttle Lag. I'm tuned but never thought to ask for a throttle remap. It's so much better to have my car actually respond when I hit the gas. That Z lag is horrible.

Hopefully mine is waiting for me when I get home. I did find how to remove the pedal so install will be simple. I saw the plastic cover where the bolt is is pretty tight, any trick to getting access to the bolt. I even stuck a screw driver flat head for eye glasses and it was still tight.

Just jam a Flathead in the cover and pop it off, you may make a little divot. The floor matt covers it anyways

So from what I read
This increases the voltage so you have almost like a quick turn throttle on a motorcycle
I read you have dead pedal at the end as 100% of the voltage was applied at 70% of the pedal travel...hummm

Does this thing make that much of a difference?

I know that on our cars, even if you floor the throttle you will have a delay before the computer allows the throttle blades to open to 100%. From what I understand, this product eliminates or significantly reduces that delay. I will give a full review once I install mine next week.

bhandy 08-29-2015 11:20 AM

Yes it will make a huge difference. There is so much more electronically controlled too, transmission shifting and speed of shifts. It's like anything else dsp controlled. I can't stress the difference it made on a turbo. I'd hear it spool so much quicker and made the audi a whole other car. Like you expect straight from the dealer in a high performance car. Now, I know the z will be just that much better. For me, it made me regret money spent on other mods. I can predict it will want more intake.
