So would this mean if a dealer was willing to do $500 under invoice before, that they would do $1500 under invoice after the rebate? Or are they going to be less willing now with this rebate in effect?

FuszNissan 10-07-2009 11:14 AM

Depends on the dealer, but yes technically if they honored there 500 below invoice it would be 1500 below invoice

Sweet! I guess I'll send them an email to inquire about this then. I wanted to wait for the 2010's (just rather buy in a few months versus now), but this might be the deal to push me over the edge.

I would! :tiphat:

flashburn 10-07-2009 12:46 PM

Grrr. He said he would gladly do $500 under invoice, but he doesn't know of any rebate program on the Z. I mentioned the date it started/end in my previous email.

flashburn 10-07-2009 12:48 PM

This is what he stated:
We did receive the information this morning and there is no rebate available on the 370Z in Florida during the National Tent Event. Nissan at times will have different rebate programs available in different regions so that rebate may be available in St Louis and not available here in Florida.

FuszNissan 10-07-2009 01:14 PM

That is possible. I can always ship you one:tiphat:

I would think the shipping cost to Florida would pretty much negate any deal that could be made? :)

FuszNissan 10-07-2009 01:23 PM

I can ship to florida for 500.00. What are the dealer fees total up too? I have seen up to $1000.00 for Florida

No clue. The price he agreed to is $500 under invoice after dealer fees but before tax/title. He mentioned there was no rebate program for the Z and that he hoped it wasn't a deal breaker. Of course I stated that it unfortunately was, and that the only way I would still be interested is if he would still honor the $1500 under invoice without the rebate, but I don't expect him to, and I understand if he doesn't.

FuszNissan 10-07-2009 01:29 PM

I would find out what the fees are. Or get an out the door price. Because I can tell you 500 under invoice and then have a 995.00 Dealer fee. I would look into the OTD price.

Well I was hoping that since I stated that my offer was after any of the dealer fees, that it would be the OTD price, but before tax/title.

FuszNissan 10-07-2009 01:33 PM

I agree, but you still don't have an OTD number, that's the part that worries me. I would just ask and see what they say. If they keep dancing around it, that isn't a good sign.

Okay, once he replies (if? lol), I'll try to get an exact OTD price. I definitely don't want to have anything but a final price before I go in, since this dealer is about 2 hours away from me. It was the closest one that had an exact match for what I am looking for.

The car has been there since July, so I guess they could be desperate to get rid of it at this point.

flashburn 10-07-2009 05:54 PM

Well they came back to me with $33969.95 OTD. This is a Base Sport auto, with splash guards, floor mats, and carpeted trunk. The invoice price is $32,900. I think it is a pretty good deal, but I think I could possibly get it a little lower. How does that sound Lou? That is with 7% sales tax.

If my math is right...that's actually more than $500 under invoice & no dealer fee!! GRAB IT!

Which dealership is it? Thanks in advance, as I will definitely head there next year when I join the 370 club.

It seems like it is $1000 under invoice. I'll let you know the dealer once the deal goes through. I don't want to give them any advertisement until they honor the price. :)

teejnut 10-09-2009 01:15 AM

is this cash back part of the tent sale thing? i looked at nissan's site and don't see any discounts for the 370z (socal). i even looked for st. louis too.

Autumn 10-09-2009 07:32 AM

Is this a dealer incentive? I called two dealers, one in NY and one in PA and both told me there were no rebates for the 370 coupe.

Im definately hopping on my deal, then!

FuszNissan 10-09-2009 09:00 AM

That is a crazy deal!!! I hope they don't try and hit you with add on's and fees when you get there. I would go check it out!!! That is a dead net deal!

Mine?

FuszNissan 10-09-2009 10:34 AM

Yep

flashburn 10-09-2009 11:10 AM

Oh. :) I'm going with my PenFed check tomorrow morning. He assured me that it would be that price OTD except for the tag fee, cause he wasn't sure if I was trading in my car or needing a new tag.

I emailed Danny at Fontana Nissan and he said that he had some cash bonuses up to $1000 but not for the z

Pheonix 10-10-2009 12:35 AM

Same here; dealers around here have told me they don't have the $1000 rebate either, but then again...I just got an e-mail today, seems like they finally found one optioned and colored as I want...offered me 32,150 OTD, minus TT&L and fees. I'm heavily considering, though I'm a month and a half before my original goal. That, for Manual+Sport in MB and what I'm assuming are the standard kickplates, trunk and floor mats and splash guard, though I haven't received the response yet indicating the dealer additions.

drockdrizzle 10-10-2009 01:59 AM

got mine for $29,800... base with sport, 6 speed, floor mats, carpeted trunk!

Nice job!

flashburn 10-10-2009 04:50 PM

Posted this in the invoice thread as well:

Picked up my Z, vroom vroom! Total before taxes was $32213.85. Base Auto + Sport, splash, floor mats, trunk mat, illuminated kickplates, and wheel locks. After taxes was $33866.85, which is actually less than they originally said I would be paying. That was before they threw in the kickplates for free! Originally my total was going to be $34221.58 after taxes, but magically the price dropped even further once I got there. Needless to say, but I am pretty damn happy about my decision.

This was at Ferman Nissan in North Tampa, in case someone is looking for a pretty straight forward dealer to work with. I did the entire thing through email (not a single phone call), and then came in once we had a OTD number locked in.

FuszNissan 10-12-2009 08:59 AM

Don't miss out on this guys!

mirror 10-13-2009 02:43 PM

Some of the dealers in my area are saying that there's no rebate on the 370s. Those are the same dealers that refuse to cut me a deal. No way I'm going to pay (significantly) above invoice for an 09.

Unrelated: here's a big "screw you" to C R Loughead's internet sales department for not even bothering to respond to my emails.

FuszNissan 10-13-2009 07:34 PM

I love it a shout out!

Mirror you have a PM

Pheonix 10-14-2009 10:23 PM

Yeah, I'm not sure what the guys in my area are smoking...dealer #2 wants me to get in on a PG at 32,900K before TTL, 35,500K including TT&L and refuses to budge, even though he knows it was my final color choice. I told him if he'd come down a little bit, I'd be in this week, but no dice. This on a Base+Sport with mats, plates and tire locks. I told him just because there's a scant handful built the way I want left in my area, didn't make me desperate...even after the other guy offered me 31500 minus only the title on one, if I'd only just sign for it, sight unseen, before he'd deliver it in.

Sigh. Something in the water.

35.5k for a base+sport? Way too much. I get quotes for a touring+sport in that range. With mats front/rear and ill. kickplates.

That what I told him. I said no excuse with almost fully loaded going for that these days; I don't think he liked hearing it - I haven't heard back yet.
