$199 for nitrogen...that would send me to a different lot right there! Oh and $399 for "certification inspection" means I 'd likely never go back...

enkei2k 07-29-2014 08:06 PM

3M Door Edge Guards: + $199.00 (LOL AutoZone for way cheaper)
Appearance Protection Package: + $399.00 (Z paint sucks any way you look at it)
PURIGEN 98 NITROGEN: + $199.00 (:rofl2: )
Theft Protection: + $249.00 (factory alarm is fine, unless they mean this as an insurance type thing where they cover your loss)
Documentation Fee: + $449.00 ( :wtf2: )

These are the things that will make me walk away.

$450 for documentation fees is ridiculous.

Any dealer with add ons is scam artists so I move on to another. I call them shark tanks.

I have a hard time believing your local dealer will swap your 2010 with a 2014 for only $8,000.

ZeeBabar 07-29-2014 09:52 PM

I have two offers. One for $8000 difference and at another dealer, $8900. His new car is listed at a bit over $29000 and he has 4-5 on the lot (touring, sports package, base). Assuming he can sell mine for $23k, he would still get $5.5 to $6k real difference and make $3k.

It bring a college town, I think he could sell my car at $23k or so.

Wait til the '15s show, the '14s will be sold at steeper discounts.

njobe89 07-30-2014 07:46 AM

yea just seems too good to be true that you would only have to pay 8k and that interest rate is high 0.o 7.59%.. i got mine for 2.19%

7.59% is suuuuuuuper high. Especially since Nissan is running 0% financing on 370z coupes through the end of July...

Everything about that offer sounds ridiculous. And not in a good way :shakes head:

$200 for Nitrogen?!?!?! You mean that element that makes up nearly 80% of the earth's atmosphere? :gtfo2:

Prime example of why they're called Stealerships.

Most of the packages my dealer offered were completely optional... it would have been an additional $120/month if I bought the interior / exterior protection :roflpuke2: The extended warranty is the ONLY option that makes sense for people, but if you can wrench yourself it's a ripoff.

You better jump on that offer before the dealer has the opportunity to add some more stuff!
