What is the problem? The dealer would rather you finance through them but will be more than happy to take cash.

Dealerships do not like the cash. More likely they will want you to come every weekend for 5 years and wash all the cars on the lot to pay for it.
You can write off the buckets and rags on your taxes, so its all good.
And make sure you watch the Junkmans videos before you start.
Good luck.

She will be buying it for me in cash.

The title will be in my name.

Do you guys see any problem with this?
No I don't see any problem with buying a car in cash. It just takes a long time for them to count it all if you use small bills.

Ok listen:

If you let them know you are paying cash, they will try EVERY LITTLE TRICK to get the most out of you, since they are not making ANYTHING on interest from loans. So, when you go there, you need to NOT tell them you are paying all cash. Do not tell them how much you are making on the down payment. If they ask (and they will ask), tell them straight up that you want to make a deal on the pricing before you discuss specific finance and down payment amounts.

Once you finish haggling the price and the salesman makes you sign the document agreeing to the price of the car, they will introduce you to the finance manager.

THEN you "drop the bomb" on the finance manager that you are not financing at all, you are paying cash. They will be upset, but they can't do anything about it since you already signed a paper for the agreed upon price.

Good luck! Paying all of it in cash? DAMN, rich aunt lol

OP, where and when are you going? Please tell me the vehicle you will be in, color, how many occupants there will be, if anyone is armed/weapons in the car, etc.

See you soon...
