Special Financing
Has anyone heard of the possibility of special financing for the 2009 Z? I may have found the one I want but am trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger or wait for potential lower APR. Infiniti has 0% on the G37s and even Porsche has low (1.9%) financing right now. All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

won't happen anytime soon, best bet is to go thru your credit union.
the lowest i got from nissan financing was 5.99 |
There is no subvented rates. I wouldn't expect to see any for a long time. You can try PenFed. Nissan has 4.89% B.O.A. Has 4.2 something

Not gonna happen. I was looking at that too, and if you take that into consideration along with price, you can get top of the line G37 for less than 370Z.

Since the G has been out longer, they do have special financing for 72 month and a lease special. The Z has been on the market for a shorter time and they are selling very, very well. The problem is that the domestic companies have created this Rebate problem and every buyer is used to seeing a car come out brand new and it has special financing and special APR. This is rare for Nissan. They will hold out until the car really needs it. The only true reason for a Rebate is to make the vehilce competitive in it's class. For the Z that is hard to justifiy.

Thank You
Thank you for all the feedback!

While I was shopping, the dealership I ended up selecting offered me 3.99% for up to 63 months (I selected 60...) on the Z. The bank was actually the credit union I have been using for the past 10 years so it was easy for me to agree to do business with them. The funny part was that when I talked with a guy at the bank the next time I was in there, he had no idea the credit union was running that sort of special.
So, I guess while you're not likely to find anything like 0% for 60 months anytime in the near future, there are some decent deals to be found for a 'specialty car'. |
the 3.99 was thru penfed?

Best rate my FCU would offer was 4.75%. Allowed the dealer to finance through the same lender and got 3.99%.

GTE Federal Credit Union is doing 4.25% for 72 months. This is the option I went with. Includes a.25 deduction for auto payment from checking account.
