662 Horsepower Nismo Supercharged! Whats it worth/0 - 60 any guess?

I just sold my C6 Corvette and looking at a Nismo. There is a 2011 Nismo White with a Stillen Supercharged installed and few other upgrades. The dealer claims it has 662 Horsepower. Does that sound right? Also.. What do you think its worth? It has 11,222 miles and they are asking 42,900. Finally what do you think the 0 - 60 would be? Any guess??

662 HP sounds like WAYYYYY to much but they claim to have the dyno graph.

Thanks..

Chuck33079 07-11-2013 09:44 AM

A dyno can be adjusted to show you whatever they want you to see. Run.

jburke26 07-11-2013 09:58 AM

Not sure I would feel comfortable buying a heavily modded used car IMO. Hell I didn't even buy used stock because I don't want someone else's bitch after they ragged her out.

Mitco39 07-11-2013 10:06 AM

Stillen supercharger with 662hp? lol

:iagree: My brother-in-law did this with his heavily modded Civic SI.

I found it pretty interesting how John would use the doctored dyno runs to enter competitions and get sponsorships.:ugh2:

I am siding with jburke26 on this one. IMO, a heavily modded used car would not be a consumer-savvy option. Not even for show. Save the $42.9K, head to the dealership and talk them down from a brand new NISMO with a sport package. Use the extra cash for new forced induction and maintenance.

theDreamer 07-11-2013 10:48 AM

The number is probably flywheel but that even seems high.
I would get a full list of mods, who installed them, and if any maintenance history.

To answer your performance question.
0-60 will technically be faster, but probably not unless you add in better tires, suspension setup, etc to take advantage of the performance. Adding boost to the 370z is great, but traction in the lower gears suffer without more work.

We here at Ross Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Boone, NC. are excited to offer this 1-owner 2011 Nissan 370z Nismo for sale. This one was extremely well taken care and is in absolute great condition. The previous owner did numerous upgrades which are listed in the options below. Some of the modification includes STILLEN SUPERCHARGER KIT, Z1 Motorsports Heavy duty Clutch, Pioneer NAVI- TOUCH SCREEN/ BACK UP CAMERA stereo system just to name a few. This is an extremely fast vehicle with an estimated 662 Horsepower. I have access to all invoices where you can see the modifications performed along with the dyno graph.
So they have the invoices and dyno sheets.

662hp, on a stillen supercharger????? pffft.. highly doubt it.

cv129 07-11-2013 11:11 AM

The salesman got it confused with the 2013 GT500

This is so true you really start to feel the limits of the car (in a straight line) with the added power. At the end of the say a stock car I would venture to say would beat a FI car to 60. It takes a very skilled driver to put the power to the ground effectively, not to mention the 1-2 shift becomes much harder to navigate. You have much more time to make the shift with a NA car, where as FI will bounce you off of that rev limiter pretty quick.

Over 60 though its a different story.

Man I only have 625 HP (at the engine)and I have a GTM SC.

I need a TT.

cv129 07-11-2013 08:18 PM

^ let us know when you wanna upgrade to the Stillen SC, it'll get you to 662hp

falcon300zx 07-23-2013 11:42 AM

Monkey Bizz 662HP.

Even Steve Millen at Stillen stated his SC kit will produce at 520 HP from his kit. 620HP is definitely an incorrect statement.

I plan to SC mine; however, it will be a long while from now.

Dude don't just walk away from it!! Go back to the dealer and let them have it!! Tell them that there is no ******* hell that nismo has 662 horsepower out of that stock block. No way. I did this some years ago with a c6 z06 a dealer was selling. The guy had a couple bolt ons and was advertising a horsepower not attainable. And I KNOW my corvettes. I let him have some knowledge and walked away from his dealership for dishonesty regardless of what they were told. Its their job to make SURE what the real numbers are before false advertising and selling. They soon changed the hp on it to A LOT lower number. 662 is a **** ton for a moddified STOCK nismo block. 42k of my money you ain't fukin with. Ticking time bomb right there.

I also had a nissan dealer change a 370z from a sport touring to a base 370z. Can you believe that? These people were trying to sell a base 370z at a sport touring price!! This is why I love walking into dealerships as a gear head and having these twats have it. Thinking they are selling cars to people who don't know anything about them and sqeezing money out of them. Asking them questions about syncro rev matching, wheel sizes, HP, and features. These morons have no fuckin clue to what their trying to sell you. Especially when its a chick!!!

Swank, I'm with you on this. I've seen 370z base sold as nismo because of aero upgrades. And speaking of vettes, a sales lady told me, when I said I didn't like the glass roof option, that "all grand sports come with a glass roof".

Lmao! Most sales persons working the floor theough out dealerships have NO clue over the car they are selling. All there worried about is getting some bank to finance it for you. I ALWAYS have a ball with them in dealerships. I'm their worst nightmare. There like "yeah man its got leather seats and rides really smooth, with a cool spoiler". Then I'm like "How many cubic inches? What type of transmission is this? Is this the version that need the recall? What type of brakes does it have? Stock suspension? And there faces are priceless!!

One time I had this guy tryin to sell me a vette and making the WORLDS BIGGEST deal about a FAST 102mm manifold and a K&N cold air intake it had installed and using that as a hook for me to buy this "badass modded vette". I played along with him and then asked how much horsepower it would have now and he said 545 at the WHEELS!!!!! Jesus christ I told him the k&n was good for 18 at most and the fast for about 20-30 at most!! He almost went pale. I then walked off hahahahahahaha

Yeah, but the car already sold to someone else who got in touch with the previous owner. The PO gave a far more reasonable hp figure and the new owner seems content so far. I still would never buy someone else's project, but to each his own.

///PureSwank 07-24-2013 12:06 AM

The best thing is to contact the owner. And maybe a reciept for all parts woupd be better as well. 662 on a 370 os just to much for me if it hasn't been completwly worked on. 662 on a bigger motor v8 I would not mind spending money on ev en of ot were a stock block. They can handle more power.

Chuck33079 07-24-2013 05:52 AM

The dealer was giving out the wrong number. It's nowhere close to 662 hp.

NickD 07-24-2013 11:25 AM

Ask the dealer if you can test drive it against a GTR...if you beat the GTR buy it

EagleTime 07-24-2013 11:42 AM

Lol lol.

RCL 07-24-2013 03:27 PM

I wouldn't buy it without a lot of documentation and info.

Which is a roundabout warning to everyone who mods their Z in terms of ability to resell it, I guess?

Chuck33079 07-31-2013 09:48 AM

Yes. Mods hurt resale value. Most people looking to buy a used car want it to be stock. If it's modded, they assume you beat the **** out of it.

Is that fair considering this car costs less than half what a new GT-R costs?

1cleanZ 07-31-2013 10:49 AM

Just because it beats a GTR in one pull, doesn't mean it'll last long enough to claim the fame....

I would NEVER buy a pre-boosted car from a dealer without knowing EXACTLY where the car came from, who it was built by, and what was all done to it.

I think what's more important is what company/shop built the car for the previous owner. Would I buy a boosted gtr from ams/jotech/T1 race development? The hell I would.

ok not going to crazy here, BUT I would run for the fact that is will have ZERO warrenty.

An the numbers thing he could have been confused, But I made 457WHP( 557HP) and Cliff on hear made 470WHP both on the Stillen kits BTW.

Alan_fdez15 09-03-2013 08:44 PM

I personaly wouldnt buy a used heavy modify car because a los of things. It is better of you get a used nismo with nice milage and modify it yourself, because at the end that is what is all about building your own car so it becomes special for you.
Good Luck!
