How Much Would You Pay?

Hey Long Journey on getting car and finally found the one i want at the price I THINK is fair.

2013 Midnightblue WITH Sports Package with 3k miles Manual Trans.

What would you pay OTD

And it was quite the drive so I had to do most of the stuff over the phone
and waiting for papers to come to me so i can fill it and get car.

but price is final.

3000 miles on a 2013? So this is either a used car or a very beat to hell new one. Me, I'd give them $32K OTD for a base w/ sport with that mileage. 2014s will be here soon and they won't want that sitting on their lot.

$32 OTD sounds really aggressive to me but man, if you can get it then good on you.

Minsu 07-09-2013 11:54 AM

its been gotten already i just have to go sign the final papers and get my keys

falconfixer 07-09-2013 12:29 PM

Eh, I love car shopping at this point in my life. When I go in it's for a want, not a need so I will lowball the hell out of them until I get what I want at my price, not thiers.

Congrats on the purchase OP

Unless papers have been signed and money's changed hands, nothing has been gotten yet. I'm not trying to be negative here, but until you go over the actual paperwork there's still opportunities for a dealer to try and stick it in dry. Don't get too excited yet. You're not quite out of the woods until the financing clears.

I hope you paid less than 32k. I paid 29K for a 2010 in 2011. Had 600 miles on it. Exact package you have but mine is 7AT. Dealers have new with that package for 34k-35k. 32 is high on a USED car that is not selling.

Example from Cars com: Texas Nissan Grapevine. NEW Sportpkg and manual $35,474 silver. 32k is too much. They may have given the guy 28 or 29 trade back in.

2013 Nissan 370Z SPORT - $35,474
Dealer: Texas Nissan of Grapevine

One more: 7AT / Sport Blue
2013 Nissan 370Z - $34,569
Dealer: Koons Nissan Falls Church VA.

It also depends on the sales tax in his state. I believe it's rather high. That's going to influence the OTD price.

+1 I believe Jersey is pretty high.

Minsu 07-09-2013 01:23 PM

7% is the rate in NJ, 30.5k for the car the rest is on TTL

Minsu 07-09-2013 01:23 PM

and chuck thanks for the insight hopefully im gonna have pictures up by next week, and i put deposit on it and everything, whatever that would do for me lool

Chuck33079 07-09-2013 01:29 PM

In theory, the deposit actually means something. In practice not so much. Just go in with your guard up. Funny things can happen between putting a deposit down and finishing the deal.
