What would you pay for this Nismo?

Found a 2012 MB Nismo with 3,300 miles on it while down in Raleigh today. Their price is $37,400.

Bad part... Front plate frame is drilled into bumper cover. Not thrilled about that AT ALL.

The paint is also pretty poor for only 3,300 miles. As in, they took it to an auto car wash or a do-it-yourself-with-a-mud-tire-brush car wash. The swirl marks are horrendous. It'd require an $800 minimum paint restoration job to get it back to showroom condition. That is what I would expect. Anyway...

Took it out for a drive. Drove like a Nismo should. Tires are in damn near new condition. No other real issues to note. The gas cover seemed to be offset slightly as it sat out a bit and wasn't entirely flush.

Given all that, what would you offer? I was thinking of offering no more than $34,000 or trying to give an OTD price of somewhere around $35,700. Any ideas of what to shoot for? Also, they have a 2013 MB Sport/Touring 7AT on the lot. Kinda wanted to get away from the 7AT but damn does the '13 look good. Not sure.

Any ideas? Nismo haters and lovers, please chime in. I need a reality check. Thanks so much for your feedback. And it is either this or I wait a year and buy a '12/'13 Porsche Boxster S. hhmmmmmm!!!!

That doesn't seem almost stupid-low to you? I mean, I don't mind hard-core negotiation. Just didn't know where the line was with the Nismo where it becomes ridiculously low. Ya know? lol.

And yeah, I know the Boxster won't have the torque. Most every car I've driven recently doesn't even come close and everytime I get back into mine after a test drive I understand again why MT and C&D say it is the best package for under $70k. I agree. That's why I'm considering getting the Nismo now. And last week I was trying to convince myself to save money and be economical and get a Honda CRZ. Someone shoot me. Please.

Are you planing on doing any mods? BC there really not to many diffrences in the nismo unless you just gotta have the body kit and number plate... (Yes guys I know there are more on the NISMO then what I stated) But anyway to me its not worth it if you have to do that much to the car, Hell for a couple grand more you can get a brand new NISMO.....

What about this Nismo?

@Wonka - If I got the Nismo I wouldn't feel the need to mod outside of dropping it on swifts, putting a nice Focal stereo in, exhaust and intake. That would be it.

@DEpointfiveo- damn you for making this harder. I was trying to get away from GM but nooooooo!!!! Lol. Good freakin' price though.

If only adding springs, intake and exhaust are the only mods your going to be doing to it then I say if you want the nismo then get it. But be far warned once you start modding you more then likely won't stop. I think I would still look around for a better deal tho, to me a better deal could be had.

Again, as Wonka said, unless you DIE for THAT body kit, you shouldn't get a Nismo, because you're already changing half the suspension, the exhaust, and the intake, the only Nismo-y things left are the struts, the body kit (including the Nismo branded seats and badges), and the various chassis dampeners

Let me be flamed for this comment but the reason I bought the Z to begin with was because I knew I could change the front end (stock front end on a base/sport is horrendous IMO). I always loved the looks of the Nismo. Not completely like the Zele or PowerHouse, but damn close. I just don't want to deal with body shops anymore. The body should be as complete as it can come from the factory. I'll mod anything else.

As for other mods, if it becomes a garage queen then it'll get the FI TT kit and then some. Problem I had with my Touring/Base is that I kept buying and immediately selling the crap I bought for it. Why? Because I never really wanted the damn car to begin with. Always wanted that stupid Nismo. And for some reason, I like the badge. Whatever. lol. I'm going to call them and give them a number and see if we can meet somewhere at a reasonable point. If not, I'll keep looking. I can easily install a nice stereo and have the wheels powder coated GM or Black so a '13 isn't necessary. But I won't go any older due to lack of stock oil cooler which does actually help quite a bit.

If anyone sees any other Nismos especially in Virginia or the East Coast area in Black, Red, or GM that are around $32-35k, hit me up. Thanks.
