0% apr for 60mo on the z?
My Z arrived off the truck today and in speaking to the sales guy, it appears the Z is now available with 0% APR for up to 60 months. Has anyone else heard about that yet? This wasn't true in March when first discussing it.
I go in tomorrow to hammer out the rest, so maybe I'll find the strings, but that would be pretty cool to be honest. |
They said mine was gunna be 0% for 60 months.
Then I got there and they said they could only get it down to 3.999% because first time buyer. If thats true, then thats a nice find |
It is true, and actually I believe they started the 0% of the 370z in late 2012.
|
In that case, they likely weren't going to tell me until I had already mentioned outside financing at a good rate. :)
|
Sorry to hijack your thread but can you get the 0% financing even though your car is not here yet? My car is schedule to come in May but I already have the VIN. Anybody knows?
Also, what would be the credit Tier to fall under this 0% APR? and do you need anything else if you are a first time buyer? |

0% usually falls into the top bracket probably mid 700s and higher credit score, and if you have minimal credit history probably a larger down payment. |

I won't be putting down much (around $5-6K), I just think with 0%APR I can save a few bucks for other stuff throughout the month. But you are right about getting into a loan without having the car first. Do you think I can go and "lock" that percentage before the car gets here? Thanks for your help! |
For me, this isn't my first new car purchase, so that helps. I had to get my parents to cosign on my first one ten years ago and still not be able to negotiate much on the %.
These days, my credit is fine (not great, mostly because I don't have a mortgage, I rent), but I'm low risk due to my job. We'll see when I go in tomorrow. I won't be surprised if there are...well...surprises. |

Also, it is 0% for this year too, see link (shout out to Joe, where I picked up my car!) : http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...s-koeppel.html |

You can "lock" rates by having a pre-approved loan from a third-party bank or credit union. For instance, I applied to a local credit union, and got a pre-approved loan at 2.49% with a general understanding of about $40k price of the car with $10k down. That is then good for 30 days for me to get the car in and sign things with the dealer. At that time, a fancy dance occurs where I sign for the car, the dealer sends the title to the credit union, and the credit union foots the bill with my promise to pay them. Or however they want to handle it. It's easier to go through the dealer, but ultimately you're losing money if the % differs. (Or even with matched %, it might be worthwhile to still go through your third party if building a relationship with them is important to you.) |

Nice choice!! Yeah I think I'm going to go with an outside source and get pre-approved and see if they can beat it lol
I already signed the contract before they order the car (last week of January) the price for the car is locked already so lets see what happens. |
Its probably true. I got my '12 on memorial day last year with the same offer. I was also a first time buyer with good credit, low 700. I think it depends also on the finance guy and how hard he is willing to work and talk to Nissan NA on your behalf.

The 0% on the 2013s has been going on for awhile. I remember first seeing it back in early March when I was on the market for a new Z and runs until the end of this month I think. You have to qualify for it. Like others said it's typically mid 700s and up.
|
I got the 0% last year when I got mine. It was the tier 1 and 2 that can get it. And remember thats through NMAC so you will be able to get that rate from any Nissan dealer no matter what the sales person trys to tell you.

|
Just to confirm, I did get 0% with new questions that I know of. Boom!
|

Bump. If you looking for a new 2014 370Z:
A score of 600-639 gets you 2.99% for 60 months. 640+ you "can" get 0% for 60 months with Nissan |
Got mine May 2012 with 0% I'm sure there will be lots of dealing to push this cars out. Timing and good credit is everything.
|
I got mine at 0% as well in March of 2012. It seems like they do the 0% in either the first Q or early 2nd Q of each year as far as I have noticed.
|
Even if one cannot get the 0%, remember, you can negotiate the interest points at the finance table and even better if you are pre-approved from your bank.
And March is a very good time to buy a Nissan. |
The rates are based on delivery date and approval date, email me if you need help with anything JoeClem@KoeppelAutoGroup.com

Same here. 0% on my 2013. I had previously financed and paid off another car through Nissan Motors Finance. So qualifying was pretty easy. |

I just got mine, stole it really, got a '14 touring/sport/nav manual for 36K with 0%, credit score is 780. The dealer claimed to have no knowledge of the 0% so they needed schooling, but the ads Ive seen show it until 6-1-14, but 0% has been around for a while.
