Yes I agree after 3 yrs you don't own anything, but don't forget the depreciation of our cars after 3 yrs and there is no warranty unless you buy extended.

I actually own my 2011 Z btw.

But... you could trade it in (or sell it) after 3 years and put the trade-in value towards a new car.

That would only result in you breaking even or coming out behind if the trade-in/resale was lower than what was owed on the car.

Nothing is worth than 400 month in my opinion. If you cant put enough down then save there really should be no decision. If you cannot afford it dont lie to yourself. Factor in the insurance also. Peace

Use "I" not "You". Take ownership of your argument, don't include others. I adjust what I buy based on my income, expenses and future outlook.

Duly noted, you look for a group when you can't stand on your own.

You are the only one to complain about accepting a monthly payment of over $400 per month with your blanket statement. This presents debate. Your statement did nothing to help the OP's inquiry. You more blatantly called everyone with over $400 per month payment stupid because you have a magic eight ball that tells you everyone's financial situation. To assist in your new statement, you used the words "you", not "I" therefore including everyone into your position regardless if you said "IMO" prior to . We are all grownups and I don't need you telling me what I can and can't afford. I happen to pay $531 per month and make 20x that amount per month... after taxes and health insurance. I'm am absolutely certain I can make my payments just fine, thanks, but no thank you, I don't need your advice.

I look at leasing as an expensive rental car but still will consider it in the future. Something about having a new car is appealing. To the OP, the monthly payments is tempting but please do not forget to factor in maintenance, fuel, and insurance too. Although I didnt need the Z, after looking at my finances, I had $500 play money so I gotta enjoy life while im still young.
